Thank you students. You sure are knowledgeable!

Our lesson for today is all about Short story.

Can somebody please read the definition of a short ( 1st student to raise
story their hand will be the
• Short Story - A completely formed tale that is one who will read )
shorter than a novel but longer than a fable is
referred to as a short story. Reading is often
completed in a single sitting. A short story
concentrates on happenings, no matter how
great or tiny, and elicits intense emotions from
its readers. The storyline of a short tale is
frequently populated by a few individuals.

Thank you for reading, your participation is added to

your grades.

A short story is a fictional literary narrative that is

shorter than a novel and generally involves only a few
characters.

Why do you think short story and Novel differ?

They differ because a short story can be read by one

sitting. A short story's action or events take place in a
short amount of time. As a result, it may simply include ( chosen student
a single scenario and a few scenes and also In modern answers the question
literature, the novel is the longest form of narrative )
prose fiction. It is a lengthy literary story that discusses
fictitious people and events.

Now I’m done differenciating what are the difference

of a short story and a novel lets proceed to the key
elements of a short story.

We are aware that novels has key elements so here’s ( chosen students
my question, how many key elements and what are the answers the question
key elements of a short story? )

In short story there are 5 important key elements and

these are:
Character, setting, plot, conflict, theme

Having the 5 elements put up in the short story this

helps us maintain the story's flow and allow the action
to unfold in a logical manner that the reader can
follow.

Let’s all know the definitions of the 5 important key

elements.

EVERYBODY READ WHAT’S ON THE POWER

the presentation )
Character – a person, or sometimes even an animal,

of setting.

relate to the central conflict.

short story. The main character is usually on one side
of the central conflict. On the other side, the main
character may struggle against another important
character, against the forces of nature, against society,
or even against something inside himself or herself
(feelings, emotions, illness).
