Maithili Bal Ramayan is the Ramayana written in Maithili for children by Bhuvneshwar Prasad 'Adhyapak' which
was published in 1963 by Navratna Ghosthi. Bhuvneshwar Prasad was a scholar and celebrated teacher of
English at prestigious M.L. Academy School at Darbhanga district of Mithila of Bihar. Born in a Kayastha family of
Ramdharilal at Banauli village he was a close friend of noted Maithili poet Pandit Chandranath Mishra 'Amar'. He
was lovingly referred by people as Bhuvneshwari Babu.
