What Are Virtual Field Trips? Use Your Own Words – Do NOT Just Copy/Paste This Information.
Virtual Field Trips are way for students to get a glance of the outside world without the expenses of
buses and transportation, paperwork, volunteers, setting up the event and getting everything in
order, students still have the opportunities to learn about different businesses and nature.

What Are Advantages Of Virtual Field Trips?

The advantages of Virtual Field Trips is that the students don’t have to leave the classroom and it
can be done from the teachers’ computer, there isn’t the hassle of getting approval from the
administration, figuring out transportation and volunteers, and keeping track of the students, they
can get the experience and learn new things from inside the school. It is also beneficial during Covid
times because then students could still experience field trips while everything was shut down.
What Are Disadvantages Of Virtual Field Trips?
Disadvantages of Virtual Field Trips is that students don’t get the in person experience, and they
don’t get the thrill of leaving the school for the day, in some way I also think it doesn’t teach the
kids about responsibility, when they go to field trip they are responsible for getting their permission
slip if they want to go and listening to the rules the teacher has set for the field trip.

rainforest benefits the world and how healthy the rainforest is. They could also learn about the
different animals that are in the rainforest. It would also be a very interesting Virtual Field Trip for
elementary students because they most likely don’t get to see rainforests very often.

I would use this Virtual Field Trip to help teach a lesson about the environment and how different
animals affect the ecosystem. I would also use this as a starter on the weather and what different
weather patterns are like around the world.

I would use this Virtual Field Trip to help teach my lesson on the ABC’s and also geographic parts of
the Earth. It would be a compound lesson, and the students could try and find more letters from
different parts or see if they could find more than one letter in an area.

transforms into the real world and why people use geometry to build structures. It would them
understand why we learn certain subjects and how to apply them after they graduate.

I could use this Virtual Field Trip in a lesson about math. Students can learn about different shapes
and be able to distinguish which shapes are within a landscape. This would be a beneficial Field Trip
for elementary students that are learning about shapes, I would incorporate this into lesson and let
students find the different shapes.
