Athens Podiatry – nursing evaluation

At 3 months staff member should be proficient at the following tasks. This will be evaluated through
random daily evaluations and testing weeks. This is to see if staff member is able to perform
requirements needed for back office position.

1. Room organization - Stock room daily. Nurse is in charge of organization and stocking
their room on a daily basis.
2. Proficient at documenting PHM in a timely fashion.
3. Reconciliation of allergies and Medications.
4. Clearly being able to get a CC and HPI from patient and documenting in chart in a timely
fashion.
5. Documenting ABN and having patient sign ABN sheet. Documentation in EMR.
6. Practice on a daily basis to learn EMR system. This will allow for more efficient and
thorough documentation.
7. Drawing angles on x-ray and be able to document them in appropriate area in EMR.
Documentation of x-ray views in EMR.
8. Take x-rays of foot and ankle in a timely fashion.
9. Documentation of Bill (using appropriate modifiers) and FU appointment in EMR.
10. Efficient in how to use ICD and how they should be documented.
11. Addressing telephone triage and writing a triage in EMR.
12. Proficient in E-scripts and it use.
13. Laser set up and appropriate steps needed.
14. Learning Instruction book that was given to you on your 1 st week. This includes but not
limited to bones and joint of feet, drawing injection, filling out appropriate paper work .
Learning appropriate medical terms and conditions routinely seen in office.
15. Clean instrumentation and making surgical packs.
16. Having a positive attitude.
17. Striving to get better on a daily basis.
18. Presenting patient in a clear manner to doctor before entering a room.
