I. Learning Objectives/Outcomes By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
• Identify and produce sounds of animals in
the song
• Demonstrate a nursery rhyme with a
gesture
• Describe a picture to sounds
II. Learning Strategies/Activities • Teacher tells the pupils that they are going
to listen to the sounds of animals around
them.
• Teacher introduces the animal song. The
teacher sings a song using the tune of “The
Wheels on the bus” with suitable gestures
and animal sounds.
• Pupils follow to sing after their teacher.
• Teacher divides pupils into groups. Pupils
sing the song by replacing the existing
animals with other animals.
• Teacher shows animal pictures and their
respective sounds in detail.
III. Assessment Strategies • Pupils are able to sing using correct
gestures and animal sounds.
• Pupils match pictures to sounds.
