Introduction
● Photo collages are a great way to express yourself, to create a wonderful
personalized gift for a loved one, and it’s a form of art where you
assemble multiple images of different sizes and forms to produce a single
image.
● You often see collages that are printed on magazines, newspapers, and
websites.
● CollageIt is an easy-to-use and automatic photo collage maker for Mac
OS & Windows, which can turn ordinary photos into awesome collage
automatically that you can share with your family and friends.
● There are only three steps to make your stunning collage: add photos,
make settings and generate collage preview, save collage as image
format.
2: Make Settings
● Click the Page Setup button at the bottom of the screen to change the
collage size, and a click on Background button allows the users to fill the
background with color or image.
● You can set various parameters to change the layout of collage like the
photo space, page margin, auto rotation mode and sparse mode. These
settings will generate the new layout that makes collage look more unique
and fresher.
● The Photo tab offers the options to configure and remove photo frames
and shadows.
2: Set Background
● We can set the background by Clicking Background button at the
bottom side of the application, then a new screen pops up, here it is
possible to use a gradient, solid fill or an individual image as a
background.
● If you use an image as background, you can set the opacity of it in
Opacity tap, when you are finished hit the OK button.
3: Make Settings and Save
● You can create a collage with a new design in the Layout tab, set the
photo space, page margin, auto rotation mode and sparse mode and that
will make the collage look unique and fresh.
● After finishing, click the Random Layout button and Shuffle button to
preview the collage and get the best results.
● When you are happy with your collage, click the Export button to save
the custom photo collage as an image so that you can send it to your
friends and families via email, hang it on the wall as a poster, and upload
it to your assignment.
How to Set Photo Parameters Using CollageIt?
When you are making collage, setting photo parameters is indispensable, the
photo frame will showcase a picture well, truly highlighting the beauty of your
friends, family members and memories, and with a recessed shadow decorated,
which will create a more striking appearance.
To truly make a photo collage, you need to add photos first. The following steps
will teach you how to set photo parameters.
1: Add Photo Frame
● In the Photo Frame section, you have the option to enable the frame by
checking the Enable Frame box, check it then your photos in the collage
with a color border added automatically.
● The default color of the frame is white, if this color is not for your
liking, click the color button and choose the best color that satisfies you.
2: Add Photo Shadow
● In the Photo Shadow section, you have the option to enable shadow by
checking the Enable Shadow box, check it then you’ll see the shadows
are added to all photos.
3: Shuffle -
● You can click the Random Layout button indefinitely to generate the
random layout of the collage according to the parameters you have set.
● In addition, you can shuffle photos on the layout using the Shuffle button
to get the best results.
4: Save- When you’re happy with your collage, click the Export button to
save the custom photo collage as an image.
How to Make Settings Using CollageIt?
When you make collage using CollageIt, the photos should be added to the
Photo List in the first step. Once you have added your photos and generated the
photo collage, you can change some basic layout settings.
You can change the layout using the Random Layout button directly. In
another way, CollageIt offers plenty of parameters to generate the new collage
layout, make settings with the various sliders and click Random Layout to
generate different collage layout.
1: Layout Settings
● In the Layout tab, go to Photo Count tab, you can check “Use all
photos” box to display all the photos you have added in the Photo List,
and each photo will be displayed in the collage only once. In another way,
inputting the numbers of photos in the edit box is available to set the
photo count.
● The Space option helps you increase or decrease the space between the
images.
● The Margin option helps you to adjust the page margin of the collage.
2: Rotation Settings
● In the Rotation tab, check the Auto Rotate box to set the photos to auto
rotate.
● The Rotation option allows you to manually set the photo rotation.
3: Sparse Settings
● In the Sparse tab, check the Auto Sparse box to set the photos to auto
rotate.
● The Sparse option allows you to manually set the collage sparse mode.
● You can click the Random Layout button indefinitely to generate the
random layout of the collage according to the parameters you have set.
● In addition, you can shuffle photos on the layout using the Shuffle button
to get the best results.
5: Save
When you’re happy with your collage, click the Export button to save
the custom photo collage as an image so that you can send it to your
friends and families via email, hang it on the wall as a poster or upload it
to your assignment.
