There are drugs that affect both the body and the mind and alter consciousness.

Some
people may find it physically harmful and addictive. The term "marijuana" is used to
refer to a combination of dried Cannabis sativa plant leaves, stems, and flowers. It can
be swallowed, smoked, vaped, or absorbed in liquid form. It is also known as herb, pot,
grass, bud, ganja, Mary Jane, and many more vernacular words. The primary purposes
of marijuana are enjoyment and recreation. Furthermore, marijuana use is connected to
a rise in crime and violent behavior.

In the United States, ten states have legalized recreational marijuana use, and more
than twenty have decriminalized it. Recent reports, however, suggest that the increased
recreational use of marijuana is having a negative impact on both individuals and
society as a whole. These consequences include, but are not limited to, an increase in
violence, the growth of thriving underground marijuana markets, and an increase in car
accidents. This is due to a lack of supervision. Marijuana with high THC concentrations
is legally sold without regard for its addictive qualities or negative effects. However,
marijuana consumption and storage are prohibited by law, and the Netherlands'
approach is to decriminalize the drug in order to assist individuals struggling with
marijuana use.

Marijuana can cause permanent IQ loss when people start using it at a young age. They use it in
different reasons, maybe because of depression, anxiety, suicide planning, and psychotic
episodes. It is not known, however, if marijuana use is the cause of these conditions.Using
marijuana can affect performance and how well people do in life.It shows that people who use
marijuana are more likely to have relationship problems, worse educational outcomes, lower
career achievement, and reduced life satisfaction. Today, marijuana use is on the rise among all
adult age groups, both sexes, and pregnant women. People ages 18-25 have the highest rate of
use.Marijuana and THC remain illegal at the federal level, even though many states have
legalized its use. In states where legal, marijuana is a fast-growing industry with sales to
individuals over 21 in retail stores, wineries, breweries, coffee shops, dispensaries, online, as
well as grown at home.
