OBEY GOD!

Deuteronomy 28:1-10

What is Obedience?
Obedience is doing what you are asked to do
How you are ask to do it and when you are asked to do it
Simply heeding to instructions and complying accordingly
Obedience is an art and it can be learned

I. OBEY GOD WITHOUT A DOUBTS

A. God gives a clear Instructions of obedience V.1
 God Wants us to follow His will always in our life. He doesn’t wants us to doubt in His
word
B. God doesn’t want His instructions of obedience to be compromise
 God is not a respecter of person, Let us be thankful for pastors and preachers who are
preaching Sin and never tolerate it
C. Obedience to God is the pathway to God’s blessings v.2
 When you are committed to obeying God everything about your life will be multiple.
 Like Abraham he became the father of many Nations why? Because he did not doubt
the word of God
 The multiplication of loaves and fish? Because the little child did not doubt Christ to
multiply it.
Obedience is powerful, don’t joke with it. If you want to enjoy plenty of life.

II. OBEY GOD EVEN IF NOTHING IS LEFT TO US

A. Obedience Gives you victory over your enemies V7

 Enemies are real. It could be problems, financial, time anything that hinders us in serving
God. The benefits if we obey and trust God is that He takes over our battles and we
become spectators.
B. Obedience to God makes the works of your hands to prosper v 8, Deut.28:8
 Our success in life is not determined by fonsoi, beliefs or geographical location. It is
determined by your covenant to God.anyone can succeed if there is a backing from God.
One of the benefits of obedience is that it causes anything you set your hand to do to
succeed.
C. God values Obedience above sacrifice I Sam.15:22
 In God’s scale of preference. Obedience has a higher value more than every other kind
of sacrifice or service you can render to him.
 Giving to God without obedience is a disrespect before God. Our prayer becomes a
noise to God ears if we are not obeying
 The greatest sacrifice that pleases God is simply to Obey God.
III. OBEYING GOD EVEN IF WE ARE TIRED PHYSICALLY OR MENTALLY
A. Guarantees happiness and Peace Psalms 119:165
 One of the benefits of obedience to God is happiness and peace of mind. It also
guarantees harmony and happiness in your family and work or business. Some of the
troubles and crises Many people are facing in their life are as a result of disobedience.
When we walk obedience to God and His Instruction Our families communities and
nations will experience peace and happiness. When it becomes a passion in your heart
to obey God you will do everything possible to ensure there is peace and harmony
B. Guarantees Long Life Eph. 6:1-3
 As God’s children it is required of us to obey God in every situation. So we can enjoy
long life on earth. For young people it is your responsibility to obey your parents
 For Christians it is our responsibility to obey our pastor and respect and support His
decisions. You are not fool when you obey God
 Be an obedient Christian
C. Guarantees good success Joshua 1:8
 Not every success is a good success, there is a way that seems right to a man but the
end thereof is death and destructions
 Once you obey God that makes it a Good success. The kind that comes from a peace of
mind.
 The kind that glorifies God and improves human life.
 When we obey God’s instructions for success and prosperity you don’t need to stain
your hands with evil to succeed.
 Obedience to God guarantees good success.

Conclusion:
For visitors you must obey God wants you to do, and that’s is to be save.
For Christians we must
1. Obey God without a doubts
2. Obey God even if nothing left to us
3. Obey God even if we are tired
