Filipino Youth: Are you still the hope of tomorrow?

Leaders of our nation always say that the Filipino youth is the hope of
Philippines. In reality, some agree and some do not. But the truth is we, the
youth of this country is still the aspiration of our country.

Dr. Jose P. Rizal defined the youth is the hope of tomorrow. But let
me ask you this, are we really still the hope of tomorrow, in this modern
time?

Fraternity, Drugs, Addiction, Early Pregnancy, Killings, Hold-ups – the

common news about the youth today. I remembered what my grandma told
This is the painful
truth. As I said earlier, some would identify the youth as disaster or just a
waste. People usually base their perspective on what they see, feel and

right time.

In this uncertain period of time, we need the heart, the strength and
the willingness of the youth to help our country to have a better and brighter
future.

I’m inspired when I heard stories about youths graduating as cum

laude, zuma cum laude and also passing board exams. I’m very happy
because in my mind I have still the hope that youth will still be the
aspiration of the next generation. The question is, are we going to take the

risk? Of course! Because we are proud to be Filipinos and Filipino youth is
the hope of the motherland.

As I close my speech, let me tell you this, I am still a youth and I’m
proud to say that I am the hope for a better and brighter nation. Many still
put their faith on us. Be a hero! Be the hope!
