Ang Pagmimina sa Kabila ng Pandemya

The Philippine mining industry contributed ₱102.3

billion to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2020 despite

the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to

a report released by Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) of

the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. The

DENR-MGB also reported that the mining sector has allocated

₱379 billion for the implementation of the Environmental

Protection and Enhancement Program as of December 2020.

(Nag-ambag ang industriya ng pagmimina ng Pilipinas ng

₱102.3 bilyon sa Gross Domestic Product (GDP) noong 2020 sa

kabila ng mga hamon na dala ng pandemya ng COVID-19, ayon sa

ulat na inilabas ng Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) ng

Department of Environment and Natural Resources. Iniulat din

ng DENR-MGB na ang sektor ng pagmimina ay naglaan ng ₱379

bilyon para sa pagpapatupad ng Environmental Protection and

Enhancement Program noong Disyembre 2020.)
