Course Tittle The module of Chinese writing for junior high school students

in China

Educational Philosophy——Perennialism
Perennialist believes that human beings have the ability to think and understand
universal truth. The goal of education is to cultivate rational people, and to explore
universal truth by training people's intelligence. Perennialism courses emphasize
language and literature. In the class, teachers can guide students to discuss and
stimulate the inherent rational ability of them.

Theory——Constructivism
Constructivism believes that knowledge is not imparted by teachers. Rather, it is
obtained by learners in a certain social and cultural context, with the help of others
(including teachers and learning partners), using necessary learning materials, and by
means of meaning construction. Constructivism advocates learner-centered learning
under the guidance of teachers.

Curriculum Model——The Model of Bobbitt and Charters


Curriculum was a collection of goals that the students needed to achieve in order to have
competency. Curriculum should start with objectives what the student needs to know.
Next it was necessary to develop activities that the students do to achieve the
objectives. This model emphasized having students complete activities in order to
learning.

Problems & Issues :

1.Students only know a few information about the scoring standards, characteristics and
trends of propositions for composition in the senior high school entrance examination.
2.Students are not master the writing skills of reviewing topic, selecting materials, writing
outline, structuring "three-paragraph", language expression and rewriting in narrative
writing.
3.Students are not master the writing skills of establishing sub-points, refining the center,
accumulating and using arguments, beginning and ending in argumentative writing.
4.Students can not quickly clarify their writing ideas when facing different writing topics.

Objectives:
This course focuses on three main objectives. At the end of learning, students are able to:
1.Grasp some information about the scoring standards, characteristics and trends of
propositions for composition in the senior high school entrance examination.【knowledge &

2.Master the writing skills of reviewing topic, selecting materials, writing outline, structuring
