The experimental set up is shown in Figure 1 . The spring balance was adjusted to zero in the position in
which the measurement was to be made in each objective.The straight line was adjusted from the push-in
button to the pivot point to the horizontal by moving the swivel clamp on the stand rod. For the objective
1-3, the spring balance was attached on one side of the pivot point of the moments disc and the weight
pan on the other side . The force needed to adjust the line through the push button and the pivot to the
horizontal was read on the spring balance. Run along a row of holes with the fishing line to weight pan.
Reading was recorded and data obtained from the experiment was put in the table . Graph was plotted
base on the data .
