WHEREAS, the City Government of Tagum and its City Health Office adheres to the

programs of the Department of Health (DOH) to prevent and minimize illnesses, loss of
lives, and maternal death during emergencies and disasters in collaboration with other
government agencies, private institutions, civil society groups and other local and
international partnership, particularly the health cluster;

WHEREAS, the City Government of Tagum has 10 – point agenda through the EAGLE
WINGS development thrust of which W stands for Wellness, Sports and Health and
Letter S stands for Social Services;

WHEREAS, the City Government of Tagum aims to provide quality health care services
to indigent and other qualified patients through provisions of free ambulance service,
including the city’s birthing homes;
