The servomotor, by taking place at minimum, makes the contact of pale cam 3 close, which gives its consent to the burner starting NOTE: Verify that, with the air in minimum position, the cam 3 closes its electrical contact ‘1st PHASE: PRE-VENTILATION AND PRE-WASHING In this phase the valve of line is excited the transformer itis in operation and the burner makes a pre-ventilation of about 25 secs. In this phase the burner pump makes a pre washing of the hydraulic circuit and the nozzle plunger remains closed because the COIL remains unexcited. 2nd PHASE: 1st STAGE IGNITION AT MINIMUM After the pre-ventilation phase, the COIL gets excited and releases the nozzle plunger and the fuel comes out atomized and is ignited by the electric arc generated by the ignition transformer. 3rd PHASE: OPERATION AT MAXIMUM After about 5 secs from ignition, the control-box gives tension to the air servomotor, which gradually opens itself (opening run: about 30 secs.) and reaches the maximum value, sated by the cam 2. When the pressure or the temperature set up on the device is reached, the servomotor starts closing and in this way the modulating action, proportional to the calibration value, start LOCK-OUT ‘The control-box stops the burner in safety lock-out in the following cases’ ‘a Within 5 secs fram coil excitement if the fuel does not ignite N.B. - If during the operation it comes to miss the flame the control box it repeats the cycle. 10.09.2004 TWO STAGES PROGRESSIVE OR MODULATING HEAVY OIL BURNERS [60Hz ] 07201620] 0s OPERATION PRINCIPLE THERMOSTAT FOR PROBE VERSION TWO STAGE PROGRESSIVE Contro-box Servomotor AIR CAM (4 Pressure regulator 5 AIR Shutter FUEL CAM MODULATING VERSION The probe [1] notices the temperature (or pressure) and transmits it to the control-box [2], which, dependent upon the fixed value, commands the servomotor [3]. The servomotor rotate contemporary the fuel cam and the air cam, obtaining in this way a progressive variation of the flame potentiality related to the user requirement, The fuel variation is arranged by the pressure regulater [4], while the variation of the air quantity is arranged by the shutter [5]. VERSION AT TWO STAGE PROGRESSIVE In the version two stage progressive (high-low flame) the termostat (or pressure switch) [6] has three cantacts which are commanding directly the servomotor [3] CALIBRATION OF AIR/FUEL The servomotor operates directly on the cams “at variable profile”: FUEL CAM: operates on the pressure regolater, AIR CAM: operates on the air shutter. ATTENTION: the servomotor is already calibrated in factory and makes a fixed rotation 0-90° C, This calibration must not be manomitted = y TWO STAGES PROGRESSIVE (MOD; FNDP 70”M-7001M =| OR MODULATING HEAVY OIL BURNERS NDP 125/M-*50/M B.F.| [ 60Hz ] —* [SIEMENS SQM 50.482A2 ] o72016.2c | 06 A\ ATTENTION: DO NOT OPEN OR REMOVE THE SERVOMOTOR COVER @ WARNING NEVER ! © =i © © WARNING DO NOT OPEN g The manufacturer dectines any responsability for the failure to observe information given above. In case of advanced reachment of the maximum pressure before the complete opening of servomotor, operate as follows: _reach the complete opening and act on the regulations (3-4) until you have a litle reduction of pressure; then return to the minimum power and verify again the pressure. In case that the pressure of minimum does not came back, repeat the regulation from point (1). 10.09.2004 AT 2 STAGES PROGRESSIVE OR MODULATING HEAVY OIL BURNERS [60Hz ] 072016_28 CALIBRATION OF THE PRESSURE The dial accuracy is #2% of the range. T Output filter 1ST - DELIVERY FILTER CLEANING When the pressure in the pump is stable and the pressure at the output of the tank is decreasing, itis necessary to clean the output filter placed on the exit of the pre-heated tank Note: Before disassembling the filter, drain the tank pressure through the proper vaive Drain valve 2ND - PUMP FILTER AND LINE FILTERS CLEANING. When the pump becomes noisy and the output pressure is instable, this means that fuel does not arrive to the pump and it is necessary to clean all the filters on the suction line and the pump fitter. 3RD - RESISTANCES CLEANING When the burner is functioning and the exit temperature keeps on falling until causing the lock-out, it is necessary to disassemble the resistances and to clean them. Note: Before disassembling the resistances, drain the tank pressure trough the proper valve, TANK LOADING. When it is necessary to fill the pre-heating tank, take the voltage away and proceed as follow: a) Verify that there is no voltage to the burner. b) Take off the return pipe to the feeding tank and insert it into a bucket. ¢) Pinch off the cables of the combustible solenoid valve (- YVNU) and isolate the wires. )_ Pinch off the cables of connection from the bornes (C and 2) from the thermostat of STR1 and connect them together Pinch off the cables of connection from the bores (C and 2) from the thermostat of STR2 and connect them together Pinch off the cables of connection from the bornes (C and 2) from the thermostat of STRmin and connect them together ) Give back voltage to the burner and operate the general interrupter SG to start the motor. (In this moment it begins the filling of the tank) f) When the operation lamp is on, give a light to illuminate the photoresistance. When fuel is coming out on the return pipe, stop the burner. Note: if there are difficulties to get fuel in to the pump, evacuate the air from the pump with removing the stopper and close the stopper immediately if fuel is coming out. 9) Finally remove voltage again for restoring the electrical and hydraulic connections and then give back voltage ) © @ Solenoid valve combustible STR.
