DATA ANALYSIS & INTERPRETATION

The analysis and interpretation of data involve the objective material in the possession of the
researcher and his subjective reactions and desire to derive from the data the inherent
meanings in that relation to the problem. Research methodology is away to systematically
solve the research problem. Analysis is the process of organizing data to answer research
questions and test hypotheses.

Statistical analysis:

Demographic data was summarized with descriptive statistics. Continuous data were
represented as mean (Standard deviation) or Median and categorical data were reported in
count (percentage) respectively.

Efficacy analysis

The objectives of this study were that, to assess the covid 19 vaccination status and assess
factors influencing vaccination among adults in urban area. The Primary endpoint was
summarized using descriptive statistics. Pre test score were assessed by checklist on
perception regarding demographic data, covid 19 vaccination status and factors influencing
vaccination status.

The finding will be presented under the following sections

SUMMARY, DISCUSSION & CONCLUSION

This chapter presents the discussion part of this study according to the results obtained from
statistical analysis based on the literature review, objectives, hypotheses, and findings of this
study.
Discussion regarding the implication, limitations, personal experiences, and
recommendations that can be taken for further study in nursing research, nursing
administration, nursing services, and nursing education.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
An Exploratory study to assess the covid -19 vaccination status and factors influencing
vaccination among adults in urban area.

OBJECTIVES

1. To assess the covid -19 vaccination status among adult in urban area.
2. To assess the factors influencing vaccination among adults in urban are.

ASSUMPTIONS
1) There are some factors like false belief, fear, busy schedule, and availability of vaccine
which affects the covid-19 vaccination status.
2) The adults in the urban area have completed the covid-19 vaccination status.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

The study was designed to an exploratory study to assess the COVID 19 vaccination status and
factors influencing vaccination among adults in Urban areas.
The study approach used in this study was quantitative. A total of 200 samples were selected
based on the selection criteria using the simple random sampling technique. The study was
conducted in urban community area of J. J. hospital campus, Mumbai.
The tools were used in this study checklist on covid-19 vaccination status and factors
influencing covid -19 vaccination among the adults in urban area.
The participant’s informed consent was taken before the receiving information. Data were
gathered and recorded in Clinical recorded form (CRF).

SUMMARY OF THE MAJOR FINDING OF THE STUDY

A. DEMOGRAPHIC DATA
The result show that according to age 23% of adult between 18-28 year, 20% of adult
28-38 year,25% of adult between 38-48 year, and 32% of adult between 48-58 years are
participated, according to gender 46% male and 54% female participated in research,
according to marital status 22% single, 76% married and 2% widow population Participated
in survey. according to educational status 7% Illiterate, 39% Primary Education, 41%
Secondary Education, 13% Undergraduate, 1% Graduate; according to occupation 72%
working, 28% not working; according to distribution of disease condition 11% suffering with
hypertension, 5 % suffering with diabetes, 1 %suffering with heart disease, 1%suffering with
cancer; according to source of information of covid 19 vaccination 2.5% from friends, 27%
from family members, 57% from medical professionals, 14% media participated in survey.

B. COVID-19 VACCINATION STATUS

Majority of 77% of population have not completed covid 19 vaccination dose
whereas23% of population have completed covid 19 vaccination dose.

C. FACTORS INFLUENCING ON COVID-19 VACCINATION STATUS

There was a various factors responsible for incomplete covid-19 vaccination among
that majority of 24.5% adult thought of no use of taking vaccine, 16.5 % of adult had fear of
getting fever after vaccination, 14.5 % of adult having anxiety about covid19-vaccine, 14% of
adult were heard from somewhere that it can cause side effect e.g. bodyache, headache ,
12.5 % of adult due to non availability of vaccine, 11% of adult had fear of developing
weakness after vaccination, 8.5 % of adult were non available themselves on the schedule
day of vaccination, 4% of adult due to vaccine unsafe for pregnant women, 3.5% of adult
having misconception of developed infertility after taking vaccine, 3.5% of adult were heard
that adult die after taking vaccination, 2% of adult had vaccination centre far away from
their home, 1.5% of adult were fear of vaccination as suffering from chronic disease, 0.5 %
of adult due to no need of vaccine to recovery from covid 19 and 0.5 % of adult were out of
station on their schedule date of vaccination.

CONCLUSION:
This study was undertaken to assess the covid-19 vaccination status and factors influencing on
covid-19 vaccination among adults in urban area. In this study, we observed that majority of
adults have not completed their vaccination. It has been observed that majority of adults did
not feel the need to take vaccine. so this study helped us to know that still more awareness and
counselling is needed among adults about covid-19 vaccination booster dose.
