Thomas Keating and Sheikh Din al-Dayemi
May 5, 2007 9 am. – 6 pm., St. David’s Episcopal Church,
Austin. Two exceptional teachers will explore how to live in
the spirit of God in a heart-centered and connected way with
ourselves, each other and in community.
Father Thomas Keating is founder of Contemplative Outreach
and the Centering Prayer Movement, as well as an author,
teacher, and monk. Sheikh Din Muhammad Abdullah al-
Dayemi is the spiritual successor of the Dayera Sharif, a 750
year-old Sufi Dynasty. The speakers are living examples of
the unity found within the great spiritual traditions of
Christianity and Islam.
All proceeds benefit orphanages and schools in Bangladesh.

Father Alexander P. Doyle, C.S.P., was a personal
friend of President Theodore Roosevelt and visited
him at the White House.
All Graduates. The UCC will have a Graduation Mass on
May 20th at 10:30 am. We encourage all graduates to wear
their academic robes and ask they be willing to be part of the
opening procession of Mass on that Sunday. There will be a
small reception for all graduates and their families after the
Mass
Compass Bible Study!
Meeting on Thursday nights from 7-8 pm in the
Mother Teresa Room, Compass is a fun and laid-
back way to read scripture and get a little more out
of Mass. Every week we spend an hour discussing the next
Sunday’s readings and sharing our faith. We are student run,
student led, and totally low time commitment, so drop by
whenever you can. Come hang out with us this Thursday!
As the time winds down and you are spending long hours
studying at the UCC, please keep in mind that the facility is
an open facility and take the necessary precautions for safety
and security of yourself and your belongings. Do not leave
your personal belongings left unattended as they could be
stolen. Also, remember, do not allow anyone into the facility
after the doors have been locked and secured unless you have
made arrangements to let them in or if you know them per-
sonally. Thank you and good luck on those exams!
