Position Summary:

Seeking an Infrastructure demolition projects (Camps & Associated Facilities –


Demolition & Dismantle of facilities) the Project Manager be would be
responsible for oversight of:

• Estimating;
• Proposal preparation;
• Contract negotiation ;
• Health and safety performance;
• Project execution plan and Associated documentation development,
implementation and compliance to;
• Monitoring and controlling project execution;

• Key stakeholder Communications.

The Project Manager will have the authority, and accountability, responsibility
for managing the projects to achieve specific objectives.

The Project Manager must be able to lead and manage multiple projects of
varying size and complexity concurrently.

Key Requirements and Responsibilities:

Safety

▪ Leads project teams in execution and implementation of all safety policies and
procedures, Client requirements and local government regulations

▪ Coordinates and communicates effectively with the safety teams both internal
and client side

Technical

▪ Possess experience in Demolition and Decommissioning Projects completed on


commercial and industrial structures

▪ Specific experience within the Oil and Gas sector


▪ Environmental contracting industry experience will be considered

▪ Utilizes production reports to benchmark efficiency and effectiveness of


project activities

▪ Evaluates results and makes recommendations to improve project


performance

▪ Should have an understanding of environmental regulations and other


processes

▪ Possess experience with various Demolition equipment types and methods

▪ Possess experience with abatement of hazardous materials

▪ Possess experience in estimating complex demolition scopes

Estimating and Bidding

▪ Leads in the preparation of complex, large scope estimates in Hard Dollar and
participate in bid reviews & process

▪ Leads bid review meetings with internal stakeholders such as senior


management and manages action items within required timelines

▪ Reviews proposal submissions, including completion of data, written bid and


preparation of proposal; following up with client after bid is submitted,
responding to questions or concerns

Project Planning, Scheduling and Procurement

▪ Leads in planning and project execution activities

▪ Works with Project teams to create and update project schedule to show
timeline of project

▪ Defines clear, measurable and attainable project objectives, with realistic


deadlines

▪ Directs Project teams and Procurement to solicit quotations from sub-


contractors and suppliers (where required)

▪ Works with Procurement to hire sub-contractors and prepare contracts for


them

▪ Promptly respond to requests, questions or concerns from clients or project


team members and work collaboratively to resolve
Project Execution

▪ Directs and manages project work from start to finish according to schedule,
specifications and budget

▪ Takes part in project kick-off meetings where possible, and follow up with
regular site visits

▪ Works with Superintendent and Supervisors to ensure project tasks are


completed on time and to applicable standards

▪ Responsible for contract administration and ensuring project is being managed


in according to the terms and conditions of the contract

▪ Works with project finance team for financial requirements, cost tracking and
billing

▪ Reviews and approve invoices and or progress payments and send invoices to
the client as per client requirements

▪ Develops monthly reports to accurately reflect project finances

▪ Attends client meetings as requested

▪ Identifies changes and where required negotiate change orders

▪ Assists in ensuring the timely payment of invoices by the client

▪ Ensures customer satisfaction through the execution of projects

Project Reporting and Cost Tracking

▪ Leads the entry and reviews of project reporting data in company software
systems to ensure proper coding and cost allocation, on projects

▪ Responsible for progress invoicing and collection of receivables across multiple


concurrent projects of varying scope and magnitude

▪ Leads one or more project teams in the review of the project's metrics, cost,
and schedule with project staff as the project proceeds on a weekly basis
▪ Conducts daily reviews and approves all timesheets

People Management, Interpersonal Skills

▪ Works with and coaches other members of the Project team and deal with
issues that are negatively impacting the team’s productivity


▪ Manages the performance and support the development of own staff (if
applicable) as well as provide information and feedback to leadership on
functional staff

▪ Be a strong team player who contributes proactively and provides leadership

▪ Demonstrates self-confidence and interpersonal flexibility, initiative,


perseverance and integrity

▪ Possesses the ability to lead and manage project values of between USD10m
to USD30m

▪ Effectively communicates, in a persuasive manner, to senior stakeholders both


internal and client facing

▪ Strong time management skills and ability to be work effectively under


pressure

General Qualifications

▪ College diploma or university degree, preferably in an Environmental program


and/or Engineering discipline, with 10 years or more demolition related work
experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience

▪ PMP Certification would be an asset

▪ Professional designation would be an asset: P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Ag, P.Chem, EP,


etc.)

▪ Experience in Oil & Gas related Waste Management is considered an asset

▪ Ability to lead and manage large project groups

▪ Ability to consistently act as a leader/mentor/role model with respect to PNG


CR’s Health & Safety Program, on and off the work site

▪ Knowledge and full competency with respect to project management skills,


including but not limited to, providing estimates, proposal submissions,
scheduling, planning, organizing, directing and budgeting projects from start
to finish

▪ Knowledge and full competency with respect to meeting necessary


specifications and contract requirements involved with a project, from start to
finish

▪ Strong computer skills with the ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Word, Excel,
Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, Windows and other operational software
applications, including the use of mobile devices
▪ Ability to liaison with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and consultants,
along with the ability to diplomatically resolve any issues and/or concerns that
may occur

▪ Ability to be innovative and cost-effective problem-solving strategies, related


to project issues

▪ Must be able to travel to PNG
