Fingerprints

1. Fingerprint analysis is not an exact science due to the fact that no way of obtaining the
fingerprint is foolproof. Not to mention, the way in which a person's prints are extracted is
perfect, the angle in which they are taken, the pressure that is used when taking them,
can all affect the outcome of the fingerprint analysis.

2. I have the whorl type of fingerprint. Yes, the patterns of my classmates are different,
which is to be expected as no two fingerprints are exactly alike.

3. Yes, there can be different dangers when presenting fingerprint evidence. Firstly, if
fingerprints are extracted from a commonly touched surface, multiple fingerprints would
be seen. Secondly, fingerprints are not an exact science. These dangers can be
overcome by ensuring that fingerprints are collected and analyzed properly.
