STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Since a very young age, I have been so determined to devote myself to a

lifetime of service to others. Having earned my bachelor’s degree in Optometry,
I am now planning to study Master’s in Public Health overseas, as I recognized
the importance of good management in maximizing the services we offer and
ensuring the continued success of public health sector. Through this opportunity
I am really looking forward to the chance to step out of my comfort zone and
obtain more advanced education in Public Health than I could receive in my
native country, as this will improve my skills when returning home and
resuming my career in public health here.

I have decided to study public health in the Glasgow Caledonian University

because your public health curriculum is applicable to a wide range of areas,
including the health care industry, public works and even public policy. I first
became interested in public healthcare when I volunteered at a local health
clinic in my high school. The extreme dedication of the health care workers and
their impact on the lives of the patients inspired me to the core for applying this
Master of Public Health Moreover, I am highly interested to the public health
department because of its extreme focus on disease prevention rather than
treatment and rehabilitation.

I have completed my internship of an year in Chaithanya Eye Hospital & Research

Institute, Trivandrum Kerala (2018-2019), where I assisted them with various
activities, including visual therapy. Indeed, a large portion of my education has
come off campus. For instance, I attended several academic and industry
conferences on long-term care institutions, where I talked with experts from
academia and industry. I also worked at my parents’ long-term care institution,
helping with elder care and assisting with accounting and policies. This institution
has a nursing home, elder apartments, and respiratory care rooms, each of which
requires different approaches to management. This is essentially why I have decided
to specialize in management for my master’s degree, as I hope to learn new and
useful approaches that I can one day apply to my family’s institution, developing
services that will benefit both operators and consumers

The Coventry University has one of the highest-ranked Public Health Care
programs in the country. I intend to learn from the best and I would love to
challenge myself to venture out of my comfort zone which is why I applied for
this competitive program.
As I was interested in the Public Health, I decided to go to UK as the best rank
of universities are located there. Though these courses are available in India,
they aren’t designed with a practical approach and a real time environment. I
still need expertise knowledge and to achieve these skills, I take this
opportunity to study abroad. Moreover, I chose Coventry University because
when I was exploring on the internet, I found it to be one of the great colleges
with better feedback overall.
I have chosen UK for further education due to the following reasons.UK
qualification is recognized and respected globally. The United Kingdom has
become one of the major destinations to study around the world. The UK
learning experience allows student’s independent thought, encourages
proactive problem-solving skills, enables development of intellectual skills and
empower creative and effective thinking
Coventry University on located in the heart of England is offering high quality
accredited degree in BSc Public Health. The university has a name for
undertaking world class research across most of its academic departments,
and in research excellence framework was ranked the most research intensive
modern university in UK. Heard the university is committed to providing
education that enables students to prepare themselves for a successful and
fulfilling career. University programs are designed to expand and build on the
existing expertise and skills, in turn equipping me with everything that I need
to advance my career or shift in a new direction. Realized university’s aim is to
help us to achieve our personal and professional goals. It helps to boost and
widen career prospects or to satisfy a desire for further learning and delivers

I completely believe that this programme at your university will channel my

skills and potential towards my ultimate goal of becoming successful. The
world class faculty, infrastructure and laboratory facilities at the university will
help me to gain a different perspective by diminishing the gap between
theoretical studies and practical experience. Your dynamic curriculum will help
to gain a foundational understanding of the Public Health field and help the
students including me to develop our skills in an early stage.
The course is shaped to provide a broad general education relating to Public
Health. The course is based on advanced learning, critical thinking and
reflective practice in connection to the theory and practice to achieve this aim
the Bachelor of Public Health requires graduates to demonstrate both
educational and professional outcomes. These studies are also shaped to
produce graduates who have effective and industry-relevant knowledge who
demonstrate capabilities for leadership in the area of Public Health.
I strongly believe that the degree which I will get from the Coventry University
will provide me with good opportunities in the global workplace and enhances
my career. Since India is a developing country and we have huge potential in
most of the sectors in the present day, be it any sector. After my graduation, I
plan to return to my native country India with a wealth of knowledge and skills
and open my own healthcare clinic for economically deprived children with
underlying health conditions. If I wish to achieve my dream, I will need to gain
extraordinary knowledge in the public health care sector which is why I am
eager to be a part of this coveted program.
After completing your master’s program, I hope to begin working in the planning
department of a large institute, such as a hospital or other enterprise. I hope to
contribute to the strategy formulation, product planning, and promotion, as this
would be an ideal way to accumulate experience and hone my organizational and
logical skills. I am interested in the work of a planner, as this relates to the work I
expect to do at my family’s clinic in the future. Therefore, after getting sufficient
experience, I will return to my family’s clinic, integrating our internal resources such
as the community care, institutional care, and medical care. I believe that, with my
assistance, we can share human resources and reduce costs, becoming much more
efficient and productive in the process. If I am to accomplish these goals, however, I
know that I must acquire much more advanced knowledge of management, which is
why I sincerely hope to have the chance to join your master’s program in the near
future.

I look forward for achieving my study permit to study BSc Public Health at
Coventry University, with the sole motive to enhance my career and wings to
fly start my career ahead.
