This document provides instructions for setting up the KRONOS20 and KRONOS30 engine control systems. The procedures include:
1) Setting parameters to open/closed loop mode and adjusting ZPR/timing settings.
2) Adjusting load and emissions parameters based on sensor readings and target emissions levels.
3) Gradually loading the engine and verifying emissions and operating parameters remain within targets.
4) Adjusting emissions-related parameters to fine tune performance at different loads.
5) Recording relevant parameter values after completing setup.

1) Engine off, set parameter 5400_ClosedOrOpenLoop= 0 for open loop mode
2) Run the engine, cold and with no load O2 should be 4.5-5.5% 3) ZPR setting: rotate clockwise less gas and more O2. 4) Check Timing, with Detcon on should be 24°BTDC, with Detcon off 14-15°BTDC 5) Adjust param 1530_AnalogIn3_RefLow to the value read by the load sensor 3531_AnalogIn3_Value 6) Gradually put load and verify that the intake temp remains <55°C, NOx level should be around NOx 180ppm (max 220) and O2 around 9% 7) Roughly adjust emissions by modifying parameter 1462_RichLeanMixtureCorr, <100% means leaner mixture so more O2 and less NOx (typical range: 90/110%) 8) At full load adjust param 1531_AnalogIn3_RefHigh to the value read by the load sensor 3531_AnalogIn3_Value 9) Go to no load and set parameter 5400 ClosedOrOpenLoop = 1 for closed loop mode 10) Gradually put load and verify that the intake temp remains <55°C, NOx level should be around NOx 180ppm (max 220) and O2 around 9% 11) Thoroughly adjust emissions by modifying parameter 1462_RichLeanMixtureCorr, <100% means leaner mixture so more O2 and less NOx (typical range: 90/110%) 12) Switch engine off, power off Kronos then power on again and check param are stored
and 918_AssignIn_MeasPower= 1 (read the electrical power measure). Set gas parameter as per gas spec 1303_NormGasGravity,1320_AFRAtStoichiometry,1340_GasLowHeatingValue 2) Set parameter 5340_AFRClosedOrOpenLoop= 0 for open loop mode 3) Run the engine with no load 4) Check Timing, with Detcon on should be 26°BTDC, with Detcon off 14-15°BTDC 5) Adjust param 1510_AnalogIn1_RefLow to the value read by the load sensor 3511_AnalogIn1_Value 6) Gradually put load and verify that the intake temp remains <55°C, NOx level, from mid to full load, should be around NOx 180ppm (max 220) and O2 around 9% 7) Roughly adjust emissions by modifying parameter 1302_LambdaSetpointCorrPC, increasing means leaner mixture so more O2 and less NOx (typical range 90%/110%) 8) At full load adjust param 1511_AnalogIn1_RefHigh to the value read by the load sensor 3511_AnalogIn1_Value 9) Go to no load and set parameter 5340_AFRClosedOrOpenLoop = 1 for closed loop mode 10) Gradually put load again and verify that the intake temp remains <55°C, NOx level, from mid to full load, should be around NOx 180ppm (max 220) and O2 around 9% 11) Thoroughly adjust emissions by modifying parameter 1302_LambdaSetpointCorrPC, increasing means leaner mixture so more O2 and less NOx (typical range 90%/110%) 12) Adjust bank-to-bank NOx if diff>100ppm from mid to full load by modifying parameter 1951_FeedbackRef_100% Adjust at low load (<200kW) increase value if A bank<B bank (A bank right from Flywheel) step of 500 then lower, typical range: 50000/60000) 13) Switch engine off, power off Elektra then power on again and check param are stored
