1. Discuss why font family is important.


-Font family is important because in selecting the correct typeface it has quite a significant
influence about how visitors or the viewers interact with a website. Using appropriate typeface
may help you establish a powerful brand identity. It is critical to have a simple typeface. Your
message will be more valuable because of the typeface. It is also critical to select the
appropriate font color and size.

2. Differentiate the 5 generic font families. Give at least 2 common font name examples on each
generic name.

Serif Each letter in a font has a Times New Roman

We have to assign more than one font names in font-Family property because so that we can
achieve optimal interoperability amongst browsers/operating platforms, the font-family field
should store many font names as a "fallback" mechanism. Begin with the font users desire and
work your way down to a basic family (to let the browser pick a similar font in the generic
family, if no other fonts are available). A comma must be used to split the font names.
