The Hide and Seek pt.

This is my last year as a middle schooler. It is not like that all of the time in school was unforgettable. So,
I don't really care about when it will end. It is August, as usual, my school will conduct a class meeting to
commemorate our country's Independence Day. The competition usually involves popular sports, like
basket, futsal or volleyball. But this year may be different since many students want to hold Esport
competitions involving popular games like Mobile Legend and PUBGM. I don't care whichever
competition the students' council will hold, because I will not participate anyway, all those hyped
atmospheres are for the popular students. If there is something I participate in during the Independence
Day festival, it will be a supporter for my class.

My middle school life is so normal I don't really follow any student’s activity outside the class, apart from
the compulsory one. Most of the time I focus myself on studying so that my sponsor who allows me to
attend the school would be appeased with the result of the study. I also do not have enough money to
go somewhere with my classmate, that's why I don't have any friends, just pure classmates.

For me, any festival is just another normal day. So, this year's festival is no different from the previous
one.

A week has passed when finally, the boards of the student's council announce this year's competition.
The competition is out of anyone's expectation. It is the Hide and Seeks. So how do we play that? I can't
help but wonder.

Later, the boards put some rules on every corner of the school about the hide and seek competition.

Most of the rules are about who can participate, how to register, and so on. However, there are rules of
the games that are written, it catches my attention since it is different from the traditional hide and
seeks.

It says:

- Each class from 9 grade Will face each other.

- there Will be hide team and seek team

- hide team consists of 25 students

- seek team consists of 5 students

- each hide team member worth 5 points, except for the hide member who is labelled Most Wanted,
He/she worth 25 points. (If they get caught, the point Will belong to the seek team. If somehow, they
are safe until the time limit, the point goes to the hide team).

- the time limit is 15 minutes.

- the whole school area is the arena, except for the teachers' office, front office and headmaster room.

- hide team can move to hide anytime, but once they get caught, they must stop.

- hide team can hide anywhere, but it is forbidden to lock any entrance or door.
- every time the seek team catch the hide team member, they can take picture and send it to the
boards.

- there Will be penalties to the teams that breaks the rule.

- class which scores the most point Will be the winner.

- the juries Will strictly spectate the game, so don't cheat ok.

- the remaining classes Will gather in school auditorium to watch the game via a Giant screen.

There are other minor rules, but i think I read enough.

So the entire members of my class have to join, it means I Will also participate. This Will be my first and
last participation in the school festival, i hope I can enjoy it somehow.

Now, all of the classes have a week to prepare the strategy, for me it is only hide and seek so i need to
hide somewhere unseen, it is easy.

...

A week just passed like other weeks, nothing special but the school is getting hyped all over the place.
And, today the competition Will commence...

The Hide and Seek pt.2

my class will begin the game at the first match. My class is not favorite to win the game, if there are
favorite classes on everything, they are class 9A and 9B, classes of the elites, with their athletic, smart
and other good sides on them. By the way, i will not participate on the first game, since my class has 33
students. so there will be 3 students who are not included in the game, and it is including me. on the
first match, my class will face 9 C, class of delinquents, as many students in my school believe so. Based
on the coin toss, my time will be the seeker. the game begins, and i will do what i always do, be the
supporter. I do not really care about the result though. In short, my class win the first match, since 9C
got disqualified, their Most Wanted student hide in the teachers' rest room, which by later decision it is
considered teachers' room. So, we got all the point available 150, and we lead the point table.

The Hide and Seek pt.3

There is only one match left and the standing as of now is as follow;

1. 9A 705

2. 9B 575

3. 9E 325

4. 9F 275

5. 9D 245

6. 9C 185
9A, 9E, 9F and 9C have played all their matches, so the last match will be between 9B against 9C. During
the previous round 9A performed well. They could outperform other classes, 9A defeated all other
classes by wide margin. The only class that could evenly match with them was 9B, it was thanks to the
most wanted person from the class 9B that can hide properly until the time limit was reached. The final
score between them was 85 for 9B and 65 for 9A. Meanwhile my class was obliterated by 9A, it was 110
to 40. With one game remaining, 9B could outrank 9A, but it depends their result against my class.

Before the match was started it was decided that my class will be the hiding team, to prepare for the
strategy, my class had a discussion and all of the students of my class were invited to join. It was a new
thing, because previously only the player who were invited. When all of the students of 9D had gathered
in class, our leader announced that some of the players were exhausted, so there would be some new
players for the last game.

“Ok guys we are going to play with some new players, because we have been appointed as the hiding
team and we are lacking some players, so please get ready”. Said my class leader

“How we decide who will play?”. Asked one of my classmates

“I need 5 people, and there are 8 students who have not played yet, so I will randomly choose by
drawing a number”. Our leader replied

“That sounds fair”.

Long story short, I was chosen. It could not be helped, I had to join and played as well as I could. I
changed my clothes with our PE uniform and prepared for the game. Several minutes later, my class
leader came to me and asked me to become the most wanted person.

“Hey, can you become the most wanted person? I cannot ask other students because most of them are
exhausted and lacking in confidence”. Asked him

“I do not know if I am suitable for that role” I replied unconfidently

“I have decided you are going to be the most wanted person anyway, so get ready and hide properly” he
replied and left me afterwards.

“This is our final game, please play well and get as many points as possible, third place is still within our
reach, so be brave, believe that we are not behind any class, lets go and defeat 9B”. Our leader gave the
final speech before the game.

“Do your best, ok?” my class leader said to me before I left my class to join the player outside right
before the match, and I replied by nodding at him.

And the final game which deciding the final result begin.
