About Me

My name is Jayce Fregia. I am from a small country town called Raywood in this great

state of Texas. My last name is a little tricky and I always must tell people its pronounced, Free-

Jay. I have been married now for 9 years and going strong. I am the father of two children. My

boy Judah is 6 years old and my girl Adalie is 8 years old. My wife is a Registered Nurse and

works from home as a Legal Nurse Analyst. I am a Firefighter/Engineer and Paramedic at the

City of Texas City Fire Department. I am in my eighth year with the department and currently

have intentions on one day retiring from the city. I also occasionally work a second job at

Southeast Volunteer Fire department working part time.

My wife and I met back in my transfer medic days with Baystar EMS at Bayshore

hospital where she was working. She grew up in the Galveston County area and can possess the

stubbornness that goes with her family name. If you are wounder how I ended up in this area that

would be how. We have been residents of the area for 10 years and currently reside in Santa Fe,

Texas.

I enjoy learning about new things, camping, working on self-improvement, leadership

podcasts, hunting, guns, video games, and getting new hobbies but at the same time trying to

limit them. I have too many. Though my ultimate mission currently is to cultivate and develop

my children into a productive man and woman that feels led to improve the world around them

and inspire others to greatness. I love watching my kids grow and win at life. They are just

coming of the age to where we are getting into sports. They have already become little

champions in baseball and volleyball. My wife and I both have a strong biblical background and

raise our children with those same Judeo-Christian values we attempt to live by every day.

As far as college goes, I am working on my Associates of Applied Science in Fire

Science Technology. I am just about to finish my degree which will enable me to utilize the

things I have learned as I promote in rank and progress in seniority in the fire department. I feel

like I have been in school my entire life and am unsure if I will pursue a bachelor’s but will see.

This current semester in ethics has been very informative and I have enjoyed learning about the

ethical theories. The discussions and book content lead to many deep ponderings and discussions

with my wife and friends. It has ultimately allowed me to grow in regard to mine and others

perspectives on life and the philosophies we live by.
