Scope and Delimitation

This study focus on the impact of discrimination to determine its positive and negative effects towards
Gay criminology students in the University. This will be conducted in University of Mindanao (MATINA
CAMPUS). However, This research study will include the perspectives of homosexual individuals who
agree to be a part of the study and who are willing to talk about harassment experiences in the
University. However, because harassment can occur as a result of perceived or actual sexual orientation
it was not important for study participants to have been "out" while still in school. This study is limited
to 10-15 students in college level of the University of Mindanao as the respondents of the study. The
following has been excluded from the study: College Students from different department and College
students from other Universities. The idea, data and information will be gathered and done personally
by our research team.

Statement of the problem

This study aimed to determine how Gay people is being discriminated In the criminology course at
University of mindanao, It intended to answer the following question:

1. How it does discrimination affect their academic performances


2. How can we help to prevent/avoid those discriminations
3. How can we protect those who are victimized by discrimination
