Elements are made up of LEARNING OUTCOMES. These outcomes require you to demonstrate
your:
• KNOWLEDGE
• SKILLS / COMPETENCE
So, outcomes will either require you to demonstrate KNOWLEDGE, or, SKILLS/COMPETENCE.
The evidence you submit with be specific to this.
Types of evidence
For KNOWLEDGE, you can type your answers, write your answers, provide a tape recording, or
engage in a professional discussion with your assessor.
For SKILLS / COMPETENCE you can provide work-based evidence such as:
• Video evidence of you carrying out relevant tasks
• Witness testimonies
• briefings you have delivered
• reports you have written and communicated
• meetings you have planned, taken part in
• CPD events
• risk assessments you have carried out
• copies of emails you have exchanged between people to show communication and
engagement
• photos, or record short videos
• work colleagues or line managers can provide witness testimony - or direct observation by
your assessor
• in fact, you can select anything from your work place that provides the evidence you need
to demonstrate you have achieved the learning outcome
To meet the requirements of IOSH this level 6 diploma you are able to demonstrate your
knowledge and application of Ethics, Equality, and Inclusion & Diversity. This is achieved via a
CPD (Continuous Professional Development) workbook which is used and integrated into the last
element of every unit.
