“Why There’s So Much Conflict at Work and What You Can Do to Fix It"

1. According to the talk, are the annoying people considered as the major source of
conflicts at work? Justify your answer.

According to Kathryn Schulz the source of conflicts at work are miscommunication, both


parties are unable to solve its issue for it is not been able to sort things out in a way of
communication.

2. What are the five (5) steps given by Ms. Schulz to fix conflicts? In your opinion, are the
steps given feasible? Would you try these steps in the current conflict that you are
experiencing?

Step 1: Define the source of the conflict.


Step 2: Look beyond the incident.
Step 3: Request solutions.
Step 4: Identify solutions both disputants can support.
Step 5: Agreement.

In my own opinion yes the given steps are feasible, and I would try this steps if these
type of conflict I would encounter in an office.
