Application Essay 3

Where do I see myself after I graduate at Nichols College in 6 months to a year? This

question is very hard because we don’t know, time will tell where you will end up or if you will

be alive at that time. But we all have a dream where we want to be and where we want to start.

My situation right now is I have a dream to become a pro baseball player, that all athletes dream

to have that as a career. I would say is very hard to accomplish that, so I must have a plan B if

that don’t workout. So, if that don’t work out, I would want to be a coach at the high school

level. I feel like my leadership will be great at the high school level because those kids will

understand me more because I was once a high school player. I know what is like to have that

trust with a coach that really cares, and cares about their players, making them play ball in

college. I want to be that person, have the power to do put my players in college because that

what a leader does, find ways to get my players to improve their skills to showcase it to college

scouts. My leadership skill will set the tone for these kids because I’m a person that will tell you

the truth, I’m not going to lie to you because I don’t like you that’s not me and my leadership.

My leadership will make sure the athletes play the game with class, so when they play at the

high-level people will talk about “this kid plays the game discipline, and with class” that’s the

way I will love to run my program because college scouts will look at those things. If I have a

kid going crazy and dropping F bombs in the middle of my field, I’m not doing my job right and

not showing these kids any discipline. By me being in this organization it won’t happen, I have

so many techniques to build special bonds in whatever position I am in as a coach. My leadership

creates bonds that will last forever, and what I mean about creating bond I mean having great

chemistry. By, having great chemistry I will have to get to know the team a lot and see what kind

of fun activity they love to do as a team. I will be there for it because let’s say I’m a head coach I

would want to be there to see my team having fun and being always safe. I want to have that

trust with parents knowing that Kelvin Gutierrez will put my son to play college baseball. I

would love to be in that situation because from their parents will see my leadership skills once I

get their kids into college and play college ball. The dedication I would do to get them there will

be insane, but I been through it as a player. Where I see myself after Nichols college in 6 months,

I would say a coach/mentor for the athletes coming up next and guiding them to the right

direction. Having someone to guide you to success is a leader in my eyes, and I hope I will be

that leader for these kids. Thank you.
