1. If the government has a prime duty to serve and protect its citizen, in return, what
is our responsibility to the state?
 Our responsibility to the state is to be a good citizen. In order for us to be
a good citizen, we need to be loyal to the republic and defend the state.
To contribute to the development and welfare of the state. To uphold the
constitution and obey the laws. To cooperate with duly constituted
authorities. To exercise our rights responsibly and with dues regard for the
right of others. To engage in gainful work. And lastly, to register and vote.

2. Why does the government recognize the important role of the youth in nation
building?
 The government recognizes the important role of the youth in nation building
because we, the youth become the future leaders of the next generation.
The government support youth to be young leaders today because the future
of the world would depend on them. Apart from that, to maintain its power,
the government knows that it must acquire the loyalty of the youth.

3. What are the three components of NSTP? Explain each.


 ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corp) - A program component that
institutionalized under Section 38 and 39 of Republic Act No. 7077, designed
to provide military training to motivate, train, organize and mobilize students
for national defense preparedness.
 LTS (Literacy Training Service) - refers to the program component designed
to train the students to teach literacy and numeracy skills to school children,
out-of-school youth and other segments of society in need of their services.
 CWTS (Civic Welfare Training Service) - refers to the program component or
activities contributory to the general welfare and the betterment of life for the
members of the community or the enhancement of its facilities, especially
those devoted to improve health, education, environment, entrepreneurship,
safety, recreation and moral of the citizenry and other social welfare
services.

4. Why do you think female students are now required to take NSTP?
 Female students are now required to take NSTP because they are also
students. Female also obligated to help the nation in times of need. It offers
nonmilitary options to women that can instill civic consciousness and
patriotism in young women. Women are citizens as much as men and during
a crisis can play a part in helping the nation. Additionally, it instills discipline
among students and instills a sense of patriotism and nationalism among the
students.

5. Why foreigners not required taking up NTSP?


 If you are an exchange student or a transferee, you are not ought to take
NSTP. Foreigners are not required to service educational program just
because they are not obliged to assist the country in times of crisis, they are
still voters of alternative nations. The aim of NSTP is to push group of
Filipinos. NSTP is obligatory to any or all Filipino students or national of the
republic as a result of as stated by the law similar to what's needed in most
voters of alternative country by their own government that is either military or
civic service for a person’s country. They are not a Filipino citizens, only
Filipino Citizens can serve the country.
