CAPABILITY BUILDING OF SCHOOL LEADERS AND SPED TEACHERS ON

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF INCLUSIVE EDUCATION
FOR LEARNERS WITH DISABILITIES

1. There shall be a three-day (3-Day) live in Capability Building of School

Leaders and SPED Teachers on the Full Implementation of Inclusive
Education for Learners with Disabilities at Hotel Del Rio, M.H. Del Pilar Street,
Molo, Iloilo City on November 4 -6. 2022.

2. This activity aims to:

a. capacitate the SPED teachers handling LWD and regular receiving
teachers on the implementation of inclusive education;
b. upskill SPED teachers on the conduct of Inclusive Education
Placement Program;
c. collaborate ideas and knowledge on the process of program
development and activities for Learners with Special Educational
Needs (LSEN) and Learners with Disabilities (LWD) Program; and
d. share best practices, innovations, and research on the SPED Program
Enhancement.

3. The list of participants is found in the Enclosure No. 1 of this memorandum.

The participants are expected to be at the venue on November 4, 2022 (Day 1) at
7:00 a.m. First meal is breakfast, and last meal is p.m. snack on November 6, 2022
(Day 3). The Program Management Team will report on November 3 (Day-0) at 12:30
p.m.

4. Teachers who are not included in the list of participants may join the activity
via Zoom or FB live (SPEDers DepED ILOILO) Facebook page. The zoom link will be
provided a day before the activity.

5. This program is being conducted with no prejudice to age, gender identity,

sexual orientation, civil status, disability, religion, ethnicity, or political affiliation of
participants, subject to the agency need and requirements

6. Participation to this activity, especially of senior citizens, pregnant women,
and immune-compromised personnel must strictly comply with the minimum public
health standards and policies set by the Department of Health (DOH), the Inter-
Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infections Diseases (IATF-MEID)
and the Department of Education.

7. The participants shall be given two-day service credits in accordance with

DepEd Order No. 53, s. 2022 titled, Updated guidelines in the Grant of Vacation
Service Credits to Teachers, however, non-teaching personnel shall be given
Compensatory Time-Off (CTO) per Civil Service (CSC) and Department of Budget and
Management (DBM) Joint Circular No. 2, s. 2004 on Non-Monetary Renumeration
for Overtime Service Rendered, specific attention on Section No. 5.

8. The food and accommodation expenses of the participants shall be charged

against SPED downloaded funds while the travel expenses shall be charged against
local/school fund subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and
regulations.
