Andres Bonifacio, a Filipino Patriot and the founder and leader of the nationalist
Katipunan society, who instigated the revolt of August 1896 against the Spanish. In 1896,
the Katipunan was estimated to have 100,000 members in the branches throughout
Manila, central Luzon, and the islands of Panay, Mindoro, and Mindanao. The majority
of its members were peasants and workers; Reform over revolution was supported by the
urban middle class. He is also known as the "Father of the Katipunan," a covert
revolutionary organization he founded in 1892 with the goal of achieving Philippine
independence from Spain through a revolution. The Katipunan transitioned from a
revolutionary organization to a revolutionary government at that point.

On the other hand, January 23, 1899, two months before reaching the age of 30,
Emilio Aguinaldo was inaugurated as the first president of the Republic of the
Philippines, and he called the Philippine Congress to ratify the nation's Constitution. As a
result, Asia's first constitutional republic was established, serving as a catalyst for
independence movements in other colonized Asian nations. Spain had been defeated as a
global power, but Aguinaldo soon found himself dealing with the United States of
America. Unfazed, he shifted to guerrilla warfare and avoided his enimies for two years.

From that point on, the Katipunan from a revolutionary organization into a
revolutionary government. The first government in the Philippines” historian Xiao Chua
said. The first Philippine government. On August 24, 1896, Andres Bonifacio formed the
Kataastaasang Kapulungan (Supreme Council), declaring an armed revolt against Spain.
The Katipunan was constituted as a national government at the same gathering, and
officers to head the army and the people were elected. After reading the articles and
viewing the videos, Andres Bonifacio should be considered our first president because he
is the father of the Philippine Revolution and was capable of inspiring a large number of
Filipinos to the cause, will remain unchanged after reading the articles and watching the

He was a proponent of social equality in contrast to Emilio Aguinaldo, who, along

with many of his fellow citizens at the time, won the presidency through a treasonous
strategy. Additionally, Andres Bonifacio pushed back against the social injustice imposed
by Spain and advocated for greater honesty and integrity in the government system.
According to the article, Bonifacio went to the meeting with the intention of addressing
the Magdalo and Magdiwang differences. In contrast, Aguinaldo desired the Katipunan's
demise and the establishment of a revolutionary government. Last but not least, President
ought to be someone like him because of the solid experience he has gained over many
years. He has a vision for the country and would be an outstanding President of the
Republic of the Philippines if he received sufficient support from his fellow Filipinos
without being judged.
