    What is/are the role/s of history in our present time?

    What is history? History is the study of the past as well as the preservation of collective

    memory. History tells the story of who we are, what we've accomplished, and where we

    came from. It enables us to see and comprehend how people and communities acted in

    the past. As a result, history plays an important role in our current day. It present a

    visual image of how society functioned in the past, allowing us to comprehend how it

    came to function the way it does now. Another role of history is to assist us in

    developing a sense of identity. Because it provides insight into the formation and

    development of countries and families from generation to generation.
