Introduction

Health systems are complicated and constantly evolving across a wide range of contexts and levels
of health care. There is a lack of capacity among health administrators and leaders to respond to
existing and upcoming concerns. Nonetheless, it is generally understood. To far, studies have been
country-specific, with little integration of multiple international and multi-level perspectives. This
review examines current and emerging challenges for health leadership and workforce
management in various contexts and health systems at three structural levels, beginning with the
overarching macro (international, national) context and progressing to the meso-context of
organizations and ending with the micro-context of individual healthcare managers.

Procedure

A rapid review of evidence was conducted using a systematic search of a subset of the vast
literature on health leadership and management. For the key ideas of global health, health service
management, and health leadership, a variety of text terms, synonyms, and topic headers were
constructed. They've done 2 phases of search strategy. Between January 2010 and July 2018, an
exploratory analysis of three electronic databases was conducted to determine the primary
publication channels for relevant material. In addition to hand examining the journals and reference
lists of relevant articles discovered, a search method was used to the important journals identified.
Three reviewers individually applied inclusion criteria to possibly relevant publications. A narrative
synthesis was performed on the data to highlight significant topics highlighted.

Findings and Conclusion

The result came and it shows a total of 63 articles were reviewed. Each articles they reviewed
identified and showed that in every country, there are similar emerging health systems concerns.
Thier problems in health systems were based on the demograhic, societal and epidemiological
transition or statuses. It also affects how their governments' decisions focuses. Also, includes the
increase of population, high demand of quality care from the patient/consumer, hospital
organization, employees and fundings, and the trends in healthcare systems.
The multitude of difficulties that have emerged highlight the complicated and developing role of
health service management in the overall complex functioning of health systems worldwide in a
changing healthcare landscape. Key themes of delivering high-quality treatment and long-term
service delivery emerged, as indicated by health-care changes. Given the global lack of human
resources for health and the fast growth of national and transnational health systems, health
managers in both international and national settings face complicated issues healthcare delivery
systems. Health managers and leaders with adaptive and relevant talents are essential for high-
quality healthcare delivery systems.

Personal Comment

This article or study shows how healthcare systems internationally differs and alike nationally. This
kind of studies or literature helps people to know the strengths and weaknesses, and the threats
and opportunities that they can used to improve the healthcare systems worldwide. As what is
discussed, the common concerns are usually seen in the third-world countries including the
increasing population, the demand of the consumer (patient), employees and fundings of the
government, as well as the trends in giving quality of care such as usage of technologies. The
influence of technological innovation in both its opportunities and complexities is evident
worldwide. In the context of changing healthcare goals and delivery approaches, health
management is seeking to professionalise as a strategy to build strength and capacity. In doing so,
health managers are questioning role scope and the skills and knowledge they need to meet the
requirements of the role. Wherein, health leaders and managers must be able to promptly and
continuously examine the changes necessary or imposed on them, the repercussions, and translate
their analysis into a realistic strategy to effect change. Focusing solely on clinical training of health
professionals without than embracing administrative and leadership responsibilities, and especially
change management capabilities, may restrict the speed and success of innovation uptake.
Therefore, recognizing these difficulties allows academics, management educators, and
policymakers to define global health service management priorities and strengthen health
leadership and capabilities to address them. Health managers and executives with adaptive and
relevant talents are crucial to high-quality healthcare delivery systems.
