INSTITUTIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Mabini Colleges shall be a citadel to learning, like beacon, ever inspiring and urging the youth of Camarines Norte to forge ahead towards higher levels of achievement. It
is inspired by the immortal words, loving thoughts, moral values and intense nationalism of its late founder Miguel R. Ibana and enduring Filipino values of our hero,
Apolinario Mabini. The college is committed to produce Filipino citizens who:
 Are God-fearing;
 Possess character above reproach;
 Are proficient in Filipino, English and other language;
 Think ahead with clear ideas about their country, its culture and its place in the family of nations;
 Contribute to the growth of human knowledge through scientific research and their meaningful applications;
 Understand the human person’s ultimate and total commitment to the whole world of reality;

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES


Graduates of the Teacher Education Program must:
1. Demonstrate competence on teaching across the different learning areas in elementary education/teaching children with special needs/teaching preschool pupils;
or teaching in one of the learning areas in secondary schools particularly, Mathematics, English, Filipino, Social Studies and MAPEH.
2. Practice professional and ethical acts in all human relations;
3. Participate in research activities;
4. Engage in lifelong learning;
5. Demonstrate effective organizational communication for sound interpersonal relations; and
6. Involve in service-oriented activities.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES
A. Teacher Education
The graduates have the ability to:
1. Articulate the rootedness of education in philosophical, socio-cultural, historical, psychological and political contexts
2. Demonstrate mastery of subject matter/discipline
3. Facilitate learning using a wide range of teaching methodologies and delivery modes appropriate to specific learners and their environments
4. Develop innovative curricula, instructional plans, teaching approaches and resources for diverse learners
5. Apply skills in the development and utilization of ICT to promote, quality, relevant and sustainable educational practices
6. Demonstrate a variety of thinking in planning, monitoring, assessing and reporting learning processes and outcomes

V. COURSE DESCRIPTION : Principles of ethical behavior in modern society at the level of the person, society and
in interaction with the environment and other shared resources.

Morality pertains to the standards of right and wrong that an individual originally picks up from the community. The course
discusses the content and principles of ethical behavior in modern society at the level of individual, society and in interaction
with the environment and other shared resources. The course also teaches students to make moral decisions by using
dominant moral frameworks and by applying a seven-step moral reasoning model to analyze and solve moral dilemmas.

The course is organized according to the three (3) main elements of the moral experience: (a) agent, including context –
cultural, communal and environmental; (b) the act; and (c) reason or framework (for the act)

VI. COURSE OUTCOME


Cognitive
 Acquire the necessary principles that explains the nature of human acts
Affective
 Justify everyday actions in the light of ethical and moral standards
Psychomotor
 Identify the specific principles that must guide their actions both in personal and interpersonal dealings
 Create a justification and points of reflection on the most common actions that have bearing even in the social context
