MULDHARA CHAKRA
• Also called the Root Chakra, Muladhara Chakra is based on the earth
element.
• The Muladhara Chakra radiates the color red.
• Balancing the Root Chakra creates a solid foundation for opening all
the other six chakras.
• When the Muladhara Chakra is balanced, the person experiences
stability, confidence, energy, and strength.
SVADHISTHANA CHAKRA
• Svadhisthana , is the second primary chakra according to Hindu
Tantrism.
• This chakra's location can be best described as being situated in the
lower abdomen, four finger breadths below the navel
• This chakra is said to be blocked by fear, especially the fear of death.
• Opening this chakra can boost creativity and confidence.
MANIPURA CHAKRA
• The third chakra, called manipura , located at the navel. “Manipura ”
means “lustrous gem of the city,” and is associated with the natural
element fire and directly linked to your sense of self.
• Its associated color is yellow, hence its links to fire and, more broadly,
the sun.
• Think of this chakra as your body’s energy power-house.
• This energy center is associated with your self-esteem, sense of
purpose, personal identity, individual will , digestion , and
metabolism.
ANAHATA CHAKRA
• Anahata or heart chakra is the fourth primary chakra, according to
Hindu Yogic.
• In Sanskrit, anahata means "unhurt, unstruck, and unbeaten".
• Anahata is associated with balance, calmness, and serenity.
• It serves as our center of love for oneself and others,
compassion, empathy and forgiveness.
• The anahata chakra is associated with unconditional love,
compassion, and joy.
• It is the source of deep and profound truths that cannot be
expressed in words.
VISHUDDHA CHAKRA
• The vishuddha or throat chakra acts as the body’s
communication hub.
• It’s where you find your voice, speak your truth, and sing
praises—for yourself and others.
• This chakra is associated with speaking up and expressing
yourself, but also with hearing and being heard.
• Philosophically, the vishuddha chakra is associated with truth,
clarity, and responsibility.
AJNA CHAKRA
• this energetic center is located at the third eye (between the
eyebrows or in between and just above eye level).
• Ajna chakra is positioned above the throat chakra which
balances emotion and reason.
• The third-eye chakra is associated with higher knowledge,
intuition.
• The third eye helps you perceive a cosmic vision beyond the
physical world that your eyes can see.
SAHASRARS CHAKRA
• Associated with the element of thought, this energy center controls
your connection to spirit, as well as your sense of universal
consciousness, wisdom, unity, and self-knowledge.
• Its associated color is violet, reflective of its connection to
spirituality and enlightenment.
• When your crown chakra is blocked, you may experience some
mental signs, including:
• Confusion
• A lack of connection to the world
• Hyper spiritualization (i.e., too much meditation)
• Poor mental functioning
IDA NADI
• Ida is the left channel.
• Ida is white, feminine, cold, represents the moon and is associated
with the river Ganga (Ganges).
• Originating in Muladhara, Ida ends up in the left nostril.
• It represents mental energy, travels the length of the spinal cord,
weaving in and out of the chakras.
• ida nadi is cooling in nature, nurtures the body as well as our
creativity and intuition, and governs our emotions.
PINGALA NADI
• Pingala is the right channel.
• Pingala is red, masculine, hot, represents the sun and is associated
with the river Yamuna.
• Originating in Muladhara, Pingala ends up in the right nostril.
• It activates the right side of our body and the left hemisphere of the
brain.
• When Pingala Nadi is active we´re ready for physical activity and can
react quickly.
SUSHUMNA NADI
• Sushumna is the central channel and is associated with the river
Saraswati.
• Sushumna nadi moves upwards running up the body from just below
Muladhara chakra to Sahasrara chakra at the crown of the head.
• It is considered the central channel for the flow of prana throughout
the body.
