SEPTEMBER 7, 2022

INTRODUCTION: Good morning Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Welcome to

the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Our life is a mix of opposites and
contraries. It is a combination of such opposing entities as happiness and sorrow
and pain and enjoyment and stress. No human being can be sad all the time. We
as human being feel dejected whenever something wrong happens with us and
we do feel happy when something good happens to us. To enjoy happiness, we
must learn to accept tragedies of life. Tragic and happy moments combine
together to make human life meaningful.
Let us all stand as we welcome Rev. Fr. Esteban H. Amor, our Parochial
Vicar who will preside in this Eucharistic Celebration.

COMMENTATOR: Please all stand to join the choir in singing the Entrance
Song.

CHOIR: HOSEA

Come back to me with all your heart

Don't let fear keep us apart
Trees do bend though straight and tall
So must we to others' call
Long have I waited for
Your coming home to me
And living deeply our new lives
The wilderness will lead you
To the place where I will speak
Integrity and justice
With tenderness
You shall know

CELEBRANT: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Spirit.

ALL: Amen.

CELEBRANT: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and
the
communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

ALL: And with your spirit.

CELEBRANT: Brothers and Sisters let us call to mind the time we have failed
To be peace with one another.

ALL: I confess to almighty God and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I
have greatly sinned, in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have
done and in what I have failed to do, through my fault, through my
fault, through my most grievous fault; therefore, I ask blessed Mary
ever-Virgin, all the Angels and Saints, and you, my brothers and
sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God.

CELEBRANT: May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive

us our sins and bring us to everlasting life.

ALL: Amen.

CHOIR: Lord have mercy 2x.

Christ have mercy 2x.
Lord have mercy 2x.

CELEBRANT: O God, who has accomplished the work of human redemption

through the Paschal Mystery of your Only Begotten Son, who
graciously grant that we, who confidently proclaim, under sacramental
signs, the Death and Resurrection of Christ, may experience continued
increase of your saving grace. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your
son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one
God, forever and ever.
ALL: Amen.

COMMENTATOR: Please be seated for the Liturgy of the Word.

LITURGY OF THE WORD

First Reading: 1 Corinthians 7:25-31

Now, concerning what you wrote about unmarried people: I do not have a
command from the Lord, but I give my opinion as one who by the Lord’s mercy
is worthy of trust. Considering the present distress, I think it is better for a man
to stay as he is. Do you have a wife? Then don’t try to get rid of her. Are you
unmarried? Then don’t look for a wife. But if you do marry, you haven’t
committed a sin; and if an unmarried woman marries, she hasn’t committed a
sin. But I would rather spare you the everyday troubles that married people will
have. What I mean, my friends, is this: there is not much time left, and from now
on married people should live as though they were not married; those who weep,
as though they were not sad; those who laugh ; as though they were not happy;
those who buy, as though they did not own what they bought; those who deal in
material goods; as though they were not fully occupied with them. For this
world, as it is now, will not last much longer.
The Word of the Lord

All: Thanks be to God.

Responsorial Psalm Psalm 45:11-12, 14-15, 16-17

R.  Listen to me, daughter, see and ben your ear.

1. Your beauty will make the king desire you;

he is you master, so you must obey him.
The people of Tyre will bring you gifts;
rich people will try to win your favor

R. Listen to me, daughter, see and ben your ear.

2. In her colorful gown she is led to the king,

followed by her bridesmaids,
and they also are brought by him.
With joy and gladness they come and enter the king’s palace

R. Listen to me, daughter, see and ben your ear.

3. You, my king, will have many sons to succeed your ancestors as kings,
And you will make them rulers over the whole earth.
My song will keep your fame alive forever,
And everyone will praise you for all time to come.
COMMENTATOR: Please all stand to honor the Gospel.

CHOIR: I Will Listen

GOSPEL Luke 6:20-26

CELEBRANT: The Lord be with you.

All: And with your spirit.

CELEBRANT: A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke.

All: Glory to you, O Lord.

Jesus looked at his disciples and said, “Happy are you poor; the Kingdom
of God is yours! “Happy are you who are hungry now; you will be
filled! “Happy are you who weep now, you will laugh! “Happy are you
when people hate you, reject you, insult you, and say that you are evil,
all because of the Son of Man! Be glad when that happens and dance
for you , because a great reward is kept for you in heaven. For their
ancestors did the very same things to the prophets. “But how terrible
for you who are rich now; you have had your easy life! How terrible
for you who are full now; you will go hungry! “How terrible for you
who laugh now; you will mourn and weep! “How terrible when all
people speak well of you; their ancestors said the very same things
about the false prophets.

CELEBRANT: The Gospel of the Lord.

All: Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

CELEBRANT: Rich and poor alike, God call us together as sons and
daughters of the Kingdom. Let us pray to our Father with sincere
hearts. For every petition let our response be
Lord, hear our prayer

and
bring people together. Let us pray to the Lord.

The sincere efforts of our leaders. Let us pray to the Lord.

Leader: That believers who are hated, insulted, rejected, and abused may
rejoice in the comfort of the Kingdom awaiting them. Let us pray
to the Lord.

Leader: That the sick and the elderly may feel secure by love and care for
them. Let us pray to the Lord.

Leader: That the faithful departed may obtain the Lord’s mercy through
the help of our prayers. Let us pray to the Lord.
CELEBRANT: Father, we rejoice in your Spirit. Send him again into our
hearts, into our lives, and into our world. Hear our prayers,
and lead us in everything we say and do. We ask this
through
Christ our Lord. Amen.

OFFERTORY

Choir: We Come to Feast.

Commentator: Please stand.

CELEBRANT: Pray, brethren, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to

God, the almighty Father.

All: May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and
glory of his name, for our good and the good of all his holy Church.

All: Amen

CELEBRANT: Celebrating the memorial of our salvation, we humbly beseech

your mercy, O Lord, that this Sacrament of your loving kindness may
be for us the sign of unity and the bond of charity.
Through Christ our Lord.

All: Amen.

CELEBRANT: The Lord be with you.

All: And with your spirit.

CELEBRANT: Lift up your hearts

All: We lift them up to the Lord.

CELEBRANT: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

All: It is right and just.

CELEBRANT: It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and
everywhere to give you thanks, Father most holy, through your
beloved Son, Jesus Christ, your Word through whom you made all
things, whom you sent as our Savior and Redeemer, incarnate by the
Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin.
Fulfilling your will and gaining for you a holy people, he stretched out
his hands as he endured his Passion, so as to break the bonds of death
and manifest the resurrection.

And so, with the Angels and all the Saints we declare your glory, as
with one voice we acclaim:

Choir: Santo, Santo

Commentator: Please kneel for the consecration.

CELEBRANT: You are indeed Holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness. Make
holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray, by sending down your Spirit upon
them like the dewfall, so that they may become for us the Body and
Blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ. At the time he was betrayed and
entered willingly into his Passion, he took bread and, giving thanks,
broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying: TAKE THIS, ALL OF
YOU, AND EAT OF IT, FOR THIS IS MY BODY, WHICH WILL
BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU. In a similar way, when supper was ended,
he took the chalice and, once more giving thanks, he gave it to his
disciples, saying: TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND DRINK FROM
IT, FOR THIS IS THE CHALICE OF MY BLOOD, THE BLOOD
OF THE NEW AND ETERNAL COVENANT, WHICH WILL BE
POURED OUT FOR YOU AND FOR MANY FOR THE
FORGIVENESS OF SINS. DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.

CELEBRANT: The mystery of faith.

Choir: When we eat this Bread and drink this Cup, we proclaim your Death,
O Lord, until you come again.

CELEBRANT: Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his Death and

Resurrection, we offer you, Lord, the Bread of life and the Chalice of
salvation, giving thanks that you have held us worthy to be in your
presence and minister to you. Humbly we pray that, partaking of the
Body and Blood of Christ, we may be gathered into one by the Holy
Spirit. Remember, Lord, your Church, spread throughout the world,
and bring her to the fullness of charity, together with Francis our Pope
and Rodolfo our Bishop and all the clergy.

Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the
hope of the resurrection, and all who have died in your mercy:
welcome them into the light of your face. Have mercy on us all, we
pray, that with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, with the
blessed Apostles, and all the Saints who have pleased you throughout
the ages, we may merit to be coheirs to eternal life, and may praise
and glorify you through your Son, Jesus Christ. Through him, and
with him, and in him, O God, almighty Father, in the unity of the Holy
Spirit, all glory and honor is yours, forever and ever.

peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always
free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope
and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Choir: For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

CELEBRANT: Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your Apostles: Peace I leave
you, my peace I give you, look not on our sins, but on the faith of your
Church, and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with
your will. Who live and reign forever and ever.

All: Amen.

CELEBRANT: The peace of the Lord be with you always.

All: And with your spirit.

Commentator: Please kneel.

CELEBRANT: Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, who, by the will of
the Father and the work of the Holy Spirit, through your Death gave
life to the world, free me by this, your most holy Body and Blood,
from all my sins and from every evil; keep me always faithful to your
commandments, and never let me be parted from you.
Behold the Lamb of God; behold him who takes away the sins of the
world. Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb.

All: Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only
say the word and my soul shall be healed.
