THE PROBLEM AND ITS SCOPE

Introduction

With the start of a new semester in senior high, majority of students ultimately hold

school fees in high regard, labeling them as their main priority in order to proceed on their

academic activities in their school. Students from RC-AKIC SHS are no different from them.

Periodical Assessments are held in RC-AKIC every month thus requiring them to pay

monthly fees as part of the requirements needed to be qualified to take the assessments in

each subject. However, not every student is capable of paying their fees on time, this issue

sometimes results into them receiving unpaid balance in their accounts after the school year

prior. Having remaining unpaid balance from a school poses a problem since it could

interfere with future applications when proceeding to a higher level of education—to retrieve

the basic requirements from a school (form 137, grade card, etc.) means fully paying the

remaining balance one has from it. Thus marks the essentiality of paying school fees.

Though it is agreeable that school fees should be prioritized by students,

overindulging on how to pay school fees, where to get money for payment, and finding

alternatives to fulfill school payments can distract a student—making them lose sight of other

priorities. This can also affect their motivation and resolve on doing well in class, both

academically and mentally.

Furthermore, private schools are more costly compared to public schools since they

usually have better facilities (Allianzcare.com). The payments that students offer the cashier

covers most of the necessary concerns that are needed to supplement them a good education.

Thus, this marks the importance of paying their school fees. As indicated earlier,
shortcomings on expenses are expected, needs aren’t met. Therefore, students would
