Warm up (5 min) Greet the pupils, take the absences. Ask pupils How are you? How did you
pass the weekend? Anything special or did you stay at home because of the bad weather.
Brainstorming:(10 min) Pupils` books closed. Hang the posters on the board. Ask for pupils`
attention by asking what do you see in each poster. Revising the vocabulary of the previous
lesson, shapes. Mentioning the shapes. Invite all pupils to talk. Use Albanian Language if
necessary. Asking and answering in English.
Role play (5 min) Explain pupils that they have to make a short dialogue using the shapes,
numbers and colors. Make the first dialogue by myself so it will be easier to them. Using the
flashcards, name the family member
Workbook activity (10 min) Open the workbooks, explain pupils what they have to do. 1. Color
as the example. 2. Say .Pupils take time to complete it and then self check.Extra work with
photocopiable paper sheet to reinforce the vocabulary, colors (5 min) Group work
Now I can (5 min): Students list what they can do after the 45 min class.
 Reinforce vocabulary by completing exercises
 Color the pictures,
 Match the pictures to the words.

Warm up (5 min) Greet the pupils, take the absences. Ask pupils How are you?
Brainstorming: (10 min) Begin with a short revision of the shapes. Saying the words chorally
and / or individually
 Draw the shapes in the air, one at a time, and say the corresponding word for each.
  Repeat one more time. 
 Then say a shape and ask individual pupils to draw it in the air.
Let`s listen! (15 min)
Pupils’ books closed. 
 Put up the flashcards on the board, one at a time, and name the colours.
  The pupils repeat, chorally and/or individually. 
 Point to each flashcard in random order. 
 Ask individual pupils to name the colour. 
 Ask the rest of the class for verification. 
 Point to various items in the classroom. 
 Ask: What colour is it? Elicit their colours.
Pupils’ books open. 
 Play the CD. 
 The pupils listen, point to the pictures, and repeat the words. 
 Play the CD again pausing after each word.
 The pupils repeat, chorally and/or individually.
 Refer the pupils to pictures in the dialogue and set the scene.
e.g. Teacher: (pointing to Daddy in picture 1) Who’s this?
Class: Daddy!
Teacher: There’s Mummy.There’s Daddy. Can you see Charlie?
Class: No!
Teacher: (pointing to Charlie in picture 2) There’s Charlie. Sit here and be good. etc
 Play the CD and ask the pupils to listen and follow the dialogue in their books
 Explain the activity.
 The pupils look at the pictures, read the dialogue silently and circle the right
word.
 Allow the pupils some time to complete the activity.
 Check their answers.
Now I can (5 min): Students list what they can do after the 45 min class.
 Reinforce the colours.
 Listen to the story.
 Repeat the words.
 Use the vocabulary on similar situations.
