Abstract
Coronavirus disease of 19(COVID 19) was first identified in Wuhan Province,
China in December 2019 and develop into a pandemic until now. The most
common comorbidities and complications found in patients with COVID-19 are
diabetes mellitus type 2 (DMT2), hypertension, cardiovascular disease, kidney
failure, liver disease, thrombosis and coagulation disorders, myocardial injury,
heart failure, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), sepsis and Acute
Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). This research is descriptive and analyzed
quantitatively. The total research sample obtained from the Medical Record
Installation (ICM) RSUP dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta starting from January-June
2021, totaling 1251 samples where there were 840 patients who recovered and
411 patients who died. From the data we obtained, hypertension was the most
comorbid, its from a total of 1251 patients, 989 (79%) and 657 (78%) recovered
compared to those who did not have comorbid hypertension, while COVID-19
patients who had comorbid hypertension found 332 (81%) who died compared to
those who died without comorbid hypertension as many as 79 (19%). T2DM is
the most comorbid found in COVID-19 patients who died, its 935 (75%) patients
who had T2DM, who died as many as 267 (65%) compared to cases who died
without T2DM 79 (19%). The most complications that we encountered were
(ARDS) obtained as many as 986 (76%) of which there were 209 (51%) patients
who died compared to patients who died without ARDS complications, which
were 202 (49%).
