that organism Morphological changes occuring in living organisms are responsible
for evolution. Maximum use of organs make it strong or more useful. No use of the
organ can make it weak or degenerate it over a generations. These modifications in
the body can be transferred from one generation to another generation. But this
theory is not accepted completely.

IV. Complete the correlation : Cenozoic Era : Aves :: Mesozoic Era : -------------
II. Identify the process from given diagram and explain it.
II. Read the para given below and answer the questions .
All the organisms compete with each other in a life threatening manner. Nature
allows those organisms to live who are fit to live in that environment. In California
mustard plant having short growing season survived a drought. Some people are more
resistant to malaria and can survive in a spread of malaria in Africa. Apart from a main
role of nature in such a evolution process , there are other slow and abrupt changes also
seen in nature. Sustained and naturally selected organisms perform reproduction with
their own specific characters.

Sample speech - Good morning everyone! Today I got a opportunity to present a speech in front of all the
teachers and fellow students.
Air is a mixture of different gases. The most important component in the air is oxygen. Oxygen
leads us to breathe. Water not only helps to quench your thirst. It also maintains aquatic life. It covers 73%
surface of Earth. It is present in different forms like sea, lake, ponds etc.
Trees are a true friend of human as well as of animals and birds. They give shelter to the birds,
fruits, vegetables, rubber, wood, etc. to us. They also bring rain, control soil erosion, provide oxygen. Birds and
animals are the one plays the biggest role in continuing the food chain. Animal-like sheep give wool, the cow
gives milk, hen gives eggs etc.
Every compound of nature plays a big role in a human’s existence. I have given glimpses about
nature in my speech. And I hope somewhere I have made you understood the importance of nature. But sadly,
there is no part of the earth left that has not been affected by our actions so much so that our planet’s health – be it
in the form of land where we survive and work on, the ozone layer, the water supply, the wildlife or our species –
is being put under constant threat. The environment we live in is of course not as conducive as it used to be earlier.
There are hordes of chemical industries excreting poisonous chemicals into the rivers and innumerable vehicles
releasing dangerous fumes, people disposing waste in a manner which isn’t safe for our environment and ruining
it.
So, I would like to end up my speech with a request that we should think for our environment too
and try not to harm it by reducing the use of plastic, planting more trees, not wasting papers, sustainable
development, etc.
Thank you! For hearing my speech and giving your crucial time.
