1. How recreation helps us to have a healthy mental state?


The majority of mental health practitioners know very well that a person's
lifestyle decisions have a huge effect on their mental well-being. Mental
well-being includes juggling the various activities of life that are complex.
Recreation helps us relieve our tension and anxiety. It helps us to give
ourselves a moment to enjoy ourselves and to reflect on ourselves first.
And it affects us because it gives us time to nurture ourselves in terms of
balance and self-esteem, because we have a stable mental state.
Recreational and recreational activities are known as something that is
performed outside a paid position or any activity above and above those
that fulfill basic living needs. Leisure and recreational activities can help
to fulfill psychological, physical and social needs. Chemical-electrical
relations are the neural ties in the brain. A well-rounded life can be
generated by seeking a combination of activities that meet psychological,
physical and social needs. (MidMichigan 2021)
2. What is the nature of swimming?
Swimming is an exercise that consumes loads of calories, supports your
weight, builds muscle strength and stamina, and is gentle on the joints.
In summer, it also boosts aerobic health, cools you off and refreshes you,
and is one you can do comfortably into old age. The propulsion of the
body through water through combined arm and leg movements and the
normal flotation of the body in swimming, recreation and sports. As an

all-around body developer, swimming as an activity is common and is


especially useful for physically disabled people in therapy and as exercise.
For lifesaving reasons, it is often taught. Swimming, typically for leisure,
sport, exercise, or survival, is the self-propulsion of a person through
water. Via synchronized movement of the limbs, the body, or both,
locomotion is accomplished. (Lotha, 2020)

1. Why swimming is the common recreation activity here in the


Philippines?
In various globally competitive martial arts, Filipinos have excelled,
including boxing, wushu, and tae'kwon do, while local Filipino martial
arts. The nation has produced champion boxers in World Boxing
Association competitions, and the Philippines has won numerous martial
arts medals in the Asian and Southeast Asian Games. Since 1924, the
Philippines has participated in the Summer Olympic Games, and since
1972, in the Winter Games. In swimming, boxing, and track and field
events, Filipino athletes have generally been the most competitive. (Keller
2021)

2. Is aquatics a combative/competitive activity? Support your answer.

In a matter of fact, the Philippines is also known for being a nation


surrounded by archipelagos.
By various water shapes. In line with the overview of the countries, we
may infer that our country has so many places for water enjoyment and
recreational activities. Aquatics is a competitive sport around the globe. In

fact, a lot of sports done in water like swimming, diving, and many more.
Some are included in Olympics which we can see nowadays is really
interesting to watch and learn at the same time. In my own opinion,
people are born competitive in a lot of ways in sports, arts, academics and
many more. That’s why human improve day by day because of every
competition in any events including Aquatics.
