Performing Job Interview
A job interview is a type of employment test that involves a conversation between a job
applicant and a representative of the employing organisation. It is more than just answering
questions. The interviewee must think about his body language and gestures, have good
manners and make proper eye contact. The most important thing is answering the questions
correctly, smoothly, and confidently.
Before attending a job interview, an interviewee is to make sure to know the etiquette
before, during, and after the interview session. Here are some points to note.
Do’s
▪ Prepare the reason why you want the job.
▪ Prepare all of your work experiences, strong and
weak.
▪ Point any special skills you have.
▪ Sit in a good position and try to look relaxed.
▪ Look at the interviewer enthusiastically while you
are speaking.
▪ Follow up a short answer with a clear explanation or
reason.
▪ Make sure that you mention your strong points and
special skills.
▪ Tell the interviewer what you want to learn from the
job.
