Provide Examples/Evidence of Above
(Domain 1):
I just learned how quickly the change from
document camera to computer was and
once I learned, I tried to use it to the best of
my ability. I used both real world and
imaginary examples to engage children.
Additionally, while using the classroom
management plan I realized that I need to
firmer with distractions and holding the
students accountable for their actions. I
used several different ques to make sure
the students were engaging in thinking,
including talking with their teams, and using
the thumbs up strategies to make sure the
majority of the class was ready to move on.

To improve on further lessons, I will make

sure to include various engagement
opportunities to engage more learning
styles.

and rapport that establishes a culture for
learning (please see descriptions below)
*
2b. Manages classroom procedures Developing
(please see descriptions below) *
2c. Manages student behavior (please Developing
see descriptions below) *
Provide Examples/Evidence of Above The students and I have already shown mutual respect
(Domain 2):   for each other, and they know that I will do my best to
uphold their right to a safe and distraction free
environment.

To improve I will uphold the students to the

management plan of the 3 warnings. Students need to
understand that I want them to do their best which
means that the environment for learning needs to be
as distraction free as possible.
3a. Communicates with students (please Developing

3b. Uses instructional strategies (please Developing

3c. Engages students in learning (please Developing

3d. Uses assessment in instruction Developing
(please see description below) *
3e. Demonstrates flexibility & Proficient
responsiveness (please see description
below) *
Provide Examples/Evidence of Above
(Domain 3):
My strongest ability as a teacher I that I can
go with the flow. Some lessons need to be
hands on and others, due to time or
resources, need to be more of a lecture. I
have changed and re-worked several
science lessons to better fit the needs of the
students. Additionally, I try to bring in other
standards for reading and writing into the
science curriculum.

Right now, I am using more formative

assessments to gauge where the students
are. Thumbs up and down, asking for their
thinking, and having them table talk while I
walk around has helped me catch when
students are not understanding the content.

4a. Shows Professional Responsibilities Proficient
(please see descriptions below) *
Provide Examples/Evidence of Above
(Domain 4):
I bring my best teacher self into the
classroom and ask the students to bring
their best scholar selves. Sometimes this
means that private conversations need to
take place so I can understand where the
student is, in both their personal lives and
their school lives. I also make it a point to
apologize when I am wrong, and point out
my mistakes, to further the conversation of
having a growth mindset. I show up on time
and ready to engage in scholarly discussion
with any and all students on campus. I have
taken on 2 subjects and am adding a third
this week, following the districts, building,
and my mentor's expectations.
