Being mindful refers to paying attention in a
certain way with intention, in the here and now
and nonjudgmentally.
Being mindful is being totally present without
dwelling on the past, planning for the future, or
worrying about failure.
It is the propensity to quietly acknowledge and
accept one's emotions and physical sensations.
Additionally, it is the capacity to become
conscious of one's actions as opposed to blindly
going through the motions.

OTHER?
Caffeine has the opposite effect on concentration and
alertness than meditation.
Caffeine in excess can lead to irritability, tension, and
even anxiety.
Mindfulness practices decrease one's brain activity making
them experience a sense of tranquility.
While caffeine heats one's nervous system, Mindfulness
Practices cool it down.
While caffeine can cause panic attacks, Mindfulness
Practices remedy them.
