Course Overview
 FSMS ISO 22000:2018 Lead Auditor course offers an understanding of the
concepts of the ISO 22000:2018 standard along with the principles and
practices of leading management systems and process audits in accordance
with ISO 19011.

 Our active Lead Auditors, who are also highly experienced and qualified
IRCA Lead Tutors, explain the clauses of ISO 22000:2018 in detail and guide
students through the entire audit process, from managing an audit program
to reporting on audit results. Students gain necessary auditing skills through
a balance of formal classroom tutorials, role playing, group workshops, and
open forum discussions.

 This course is IRCA-accredited, delegates who successfully complete both


the examination and the continuous assessment will be awarded an IRCA
accredited Certificate of Achievement which will satisfy the formal training
requirements for the IRCA FSMS 22000:2018 Lead Auditor Certification
scheme.

Pre-Requisite
Students are expected to have the following prior knowledge:

 General knowledge of the ISO 22000 standards


 Experience working in the food supply chain before attending this course
 Knowledge of relevant key food safety legislation, prerequisite programs
(PRPs), Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP principles as defined in
Codex Alimentarius
 Understand the basics of how organizations work and the role of top
management.

Conditions to pass this course


 Participants must attend a minimum of 100 % of the training hours and
must gain 70% of total marks, with a minimum score of 50 % of marks for
every sector.

Re-exam
 In the case where the student is allowed to sit the written test but does not
obtain a score sufficiently high to pass, he/she will have the possibility to
repeat the exam within 12 months of the date of the first exam.
