    The University of North Dakota molded me into true professional within my
    701-739-5555 field. As a junior, I was induced into the National Society of Leadership and
    matthew.hjelmstad@und.edu Success, which has pushed me to become a better student, leader, and person.
    Serving five years in the North Dakota Army National Guard has given me great
    Grand Forks, experience with critical thinking, problem solving, leadership, and
    North Dakota accountability. Military skills translate to the communication field well, as
    communication is everywhere. As a communication professional, I am able to

    Public Relations Building houses every summer in between semesters as a college student has
    taught me many skills. Your coworkers need to rely and depend on you when
    Social Media Management building. Trustworthiness is also a big factor because this occupation can be
    Professional Writing & Editing dangerous at times. This job has also given me more communication experience
    because communication is everywhere. If communication fails on the job site,
    Persuasion the job will not get done properly and people’s lives could be in danger.

    The army has shaped me into the person I am today. I truly embody the seven
    core values that the army lives by and incorporate them into my everyday life.
     Loyalty: Bearing true faith and allegiance is a matter of believing in and
    devoting yourself to something or someone.
    EDUCATION  Duty: Fulfill your obligations. Doing your duty means more than
    carrying out your assigned tasks.
     Respect: Treat people as they should be treated.
