COLLEGE.

HOW TECHNOLOGY INFLUENCED MY LIFE AS A LEARNER

When I was young my Father bought me a tablet as a reward for the high grades that I got
in my elementary years, at first it was so amazing and I enjoy every time I used it to play online games
but the thing is I didn’t notice I almost waste all day playing my table which leads me to neglect my
studies and I choose always to play than making my homework and resulted to me not to be on the
top of our class that I used to be. My father was mad and my mother was so disappointed about it
that they decided to get my tablet away from me, and I am grounded. Every time that I am grounded
my father lets my mom take the responsibility to guide me and not to break the rules, The condition
is If I break the rules I will stop my studies. And since I was grounded, I cannot go outside to play
with my neighbors, I cannot watch Television and even my toys are kept by my mother, which they
want me no choice but to seat in front of the table beside my bed and which led me to read my books
and have my advance reading for tomorrows lessons in school. That was my daily routine back then.

I gained excellent grades in high school, but my father fails to grant me my tablet because he
is afraid that I will become more addicted to my gadgets again. I used to participate in a lot of
extracurricular activities, also including the swimming team and practicing after class, and joining the
majorettes, a group of girls who dance with a baton twirling in our school. As a direct consequence,
high school was not boring for me because I was too busy, and they made me the leader of the
majorettes.

It was college time already during my freshmen days I had my Phone which was bought by my
mother for communication, but I’m not that addicted to a cellular phone Because I used to report in
our ROTC OFFICE since I was one of the officers, amazing right? From majorette to an ROTC officer,
well I loved to. But the time passed by we had a COVID 19 Pandemic, which lead us to accept the
challenges of online /virtual learning I was so bombarded with a lot of questions about it, but I did
exist in online learning just like in traditional learning. I’m still happy that even I can’t go to the usual
routine I can continue my studies with the help of our technology which is our gadgets. That would
be all thank you.
