Average household expenditure in Japan and Malaysia

Pie charts show us the average household expenditure in Japan and Malaysia taken in the
year 2010. People at that time were more conserved in spending their money as we cover
about the pie chart in detail.

Housing is taken as a priority in both Japan and Malaysia covering just over 20% in Japan
and over 1/3rd of an average household income in Malaysia. Food is also taken as a priority
and the Malays edge out on spending 3% more than the Japanese both taking up about a
quarter of the household income. It shouldn’t surprise us to see that other goods and
services taking up 29% and 26% for the Japanese and Malays respectively.

Now we notice a shift as the Japanese spend around 1/20th of their budget on healthcare
and the Malays are able to cut them short by almost half. It is the same case with transport
as the Japanese spend 1/5th of their income whereas the Malays spend only half of it.

Accidents are becoming common in cities every day and some people believe that reducing
the speed limit in the cities would improve the safety of the city streets whereas others
believe that imposing stricter traffic fines would be a better option. Personally, I believe that
a mix of both imposing a strict traffic fine and the reduction of speed would help deal with
the problem at hand.

There are some that see speeding …..

While the reduction of speed in cities may have lowered accidents others tend to believe
that strict traffic regulations and the monitoring the streets of cities are more useful as
warning signs can be placed for people travelling through a high accident-prone area. They
also exclaim footage from the traffic cameras would help understand the way accidents take
place and help avoid it in the foreseeable future. For example, the city of Amsterdam and
Vienna have traffic cameras all over the place and they are seen as the cities with the least
accidents in the world according to the recent report by The Times.

Personally, I believe that a mix of reduction of speed, monitoring the streets and imposing
stricter traffic fines is the real problem solver and would reduce accidents in cities
significantly.
