Tony Favello

Tony Favello is co-owner of Fantasy Books Incorporated in the Metro East area
and St. Louis. Tony joined Fantasy Books Incorporated after the original Fantasy
Books opened in 1980 and later closed due to a decline of interest. Tony graduated
from Washington University in St. Louis. He also has experience as a Director of
Commercial Operations working in the biotechnology industry. Now, Tony
follows his passion of comics and games through the operation of multiple comics
and games stores.
Tony has owned and operated various comics and games stores since June of 2004,
alongside Steve Unverferth. Their location in Belleville, IL underwent many
changes to become today’s Fantasy Books. In 2006, Fantasy Books and Games
was opened in O’Fallon, IL. Tony later expanded the franchise further to include
Fantasy Shop in Fairview Heights, IL. In 2011 Tony was approached with an offer
to purchase another store in Edwardsville, IL. This joined the Fantasy Books Inc.
family as Heroic Adventures. The most recent addition came in 2015 whenever
Tony and Steve purchased Star Clipper from their friend. This then expanded their
reach further into the St. Louis region.
Tony Favello takes pride in their store’s ability to treat customers with great
service and knowledge on comic books and games. He has also enjoyed reading
and collecting comics throughout his life.
