A Detailed Lesson Plan in English 7

I. Objectives

At the end of the 60-minute lesson, the students should be able to do the following
with 75% proficiency;

a. Unlock difficult words found in the story


b. Use the unlocked vocabulary word in forming meaningful sentences
c. Reading of the story
d. Identify the elements in a short story
e. Connect the story with significant real life situation.

Before we do our activity, let us unlock these
unfamiliar words from the reading text.

help you to guess the meaning of those
unfamiliar words.

Group 1 will be the CHARACTER group.
You’re going to find the characters and describe
their traits in the story

Group 2 will be the SETTING group. You’re


going to present the setting of the story through
a simple drawing of different designs of shawls
using any type of recyclable material that will
not cost any amount but elicits creativity. “Yes ma’am

Group 3 will be CONFLICT group. You’re


going to present by use of an illustration the
conflict in the story.

Group 4 will be the THEME group find the


theme of the story and write how you have come
up with that theme.
Narrator/middle child who is jealous to her sister
