APPROPRIATE GREETINGS.

As you take your Oath today, remember what our Chief, PNP
Police General DIONARDO CARLOS said, “May you always uphold the
public’s welfare over and above personal interest. Be the embodiment of
“honor”, “accountability” and “integrity” because as a public officer, we
owe it to them and to our country. We are primarily here to serve, and
not to be served.”

The long wait is over! Today marks another significant milestone in

your professional career, it is surely a remarkable day for those of you
who are present today. We are gathered to celebrate this milestone in
your respective careers in the civil service, and reaffirm your allegiance
to the country that we had sworn to defend at all costs.

Changing your rank is never an easy task. It requires patient labor

and attention. Your rank insignias do not grow merely to satisfy
ambitions and become decorations; they thrive because you expanded
sincere effort on them. You have to stretch your abilities to increase your
rank. It means bigger responsibilities and you have to be prepared for
other significant changes. Do not forget to give full value to your roots.

Remember how you started and think what will you lose when you
neglect it.

“Manatili kayong maging mapagkumbaba, at mas pagbutihan ang

pagtupad ng inyong mga tungkulin”. May you always remember that the
public demands a greater level of accountability, responsibility and
integrity on your part. Embody the highest standards of excellence and
selfless leadership at all times. Do not settle for anything less. May this
fact alone be more than enough to inspire you to always commit
yourselves to the ethical and honorable behavior as you do your part in
the realization of our aspirations.

Furthermore, be thankful to your families and loved ones. They

played a big part of who you are today. Sila ang pangunahing masaya
sa bawat magandang pangyayari sa inyong buhay ngunit sila rin ang
pangunahing masasaktan kung kayo man ay nasa kabiguan. Have a
simple celebration with them and express your gratitude.

At this juncture, your patience and dedication have finally paid off
and it is my pleasure to be part of this occasion. Congratulations and my
snappy salute to all promotees!
